Still early, but it would be a bit of a red flag

Yes, because Clemson is not that good.

I see Arkansas fans talk a lot about other schools . It must be looking like another abysmal season in Fayetteville

Playing a team with a HC who has brought them to two NC games should be worrisome to all teams, not just LSU.

We have a brand new coach who has never coached a down with 99% of our players. I think Lane will have them ready then everyone will stop yapping about it.

Yes it would not be a good indication for the 2026 season mainly because it will be at home and it will be as big of a home field environment as you could ask for.

Ill bite

I would be worried as we need a hot start IMO to have a chance at making Atlanta. But I wont put lane on hot seat.

Wouldn't be any different than the last four years. I can't remember if they finally won their first game this year or not.

It’d be cause for concern, Clemson lost a lot of nfl talent from a team that wasn’t very good. They have zero experience at qb, and depth issues on defense. The defense was the calling card of dabos teams(despite media offensive hype) that made runs from 15-20 and the defense has steadily declined since venables left. After venables left they remained a top ten unit in scoring and yardage for two seasons then plummeted out the top 50. They have a new oc to go with the new unproven qb. Maybe they catch lightning in a bottle and the qb is elite but LSU should temper expectations if they lose to Clemson

Yes.
What a stupid question. If anyone loses the opener, their fans should worry.

Can ya'll get LSU out of your brains for 2 seconds?

For the sake of football talk and this not being a troll, I'll respond.

Yes, it would be a huge disappointment after an offseason of absolute excitement. Also our September schedule will tell us exactly where this LSU team will stand at the end of the year. Ole Miss and A&M will be huge tests for this team.

With Clemson, I feel good about the game for a few reasons:
1. Brian Kelly walked into their house and won. He was not a good coach.
2. Lane Kiffin is a way better modern coach than Kelly.
3. Weis calling the offense
4. Baker calling the defense knowing our offense can score.

Would a loss to Clemson be an indicator of Kiffin's future at LSU? Absolutely not, but it would really be a bad start.

If ClemPson wins or LSU squeaks it out then ClemPson looks sub par going forward it will definitely cause concern for fans.

But let’s be honest. If LSU wins 14-0 there will be fans concerned.

Issues that have historically plagued LSU through multiple coaches- Fans becoming fickle.

Tiger stadium is a nightmare to get to and a nightmare to leave from compared to almost every other stadium in the country.

For a big matchups with a 6:30 start and a 10pm finish you need to be on campus around 3-4 pm and unless you want to walk a few miles or have some secret spot not available to the normal fan you can expect to be stuck on campus until midnight.

That’s why you see fans leave early when it goes bad.

This traffic is why I don’t go anymore.

If LSU loses it would really REALLY suck.

Tiger Stadium will be about as on fire as you've ever seen it.

Kiffin would be burned if effigy by the bayou trash. This site would be unavailable for a few days
