Arkansas fans stalk LSU fans may be the better description.

Go to Arkansas at least 6 times a year to play golf in your wonderful state and admire the hogs fan base to a degree. What is see is Arkansas dislike for LSU and LSU has taken over the Hogs dislike for the Texas Longhorns [ your true rival ]

LSU has replaced Texas as the Hogs rival and this same feeling by LSU fans for Arkansas has simply not developed. I am in no way suggesting that LSU does not respect the Hogs in any way and believe me losing and hearing from my Arkansas friends is very painful. I circle this game as the biggest game of the year and other than Alabama I look forward to beating Arkansas every year.

The sad truth is that only a handful of teams can legitimately contend for a Natty. Arky isnt one of them. It's not fun but it's reality. The rest of it is just chit chat. So the "super bowl" deal is real for you and ole piss and moo st. Carry on

Seriously ? Now more ever , with the advent of the four team playoff, if you can get to, and figure out how to win the SEC title game, you can play for the national championship.
Arkansas has already appeared in the title game three times. We just need to "seal the deal" when there.
Am I suggesting we're going this season? No, I certainly wouldn't bet on it. That said, I don't think we've made our last appearance. At some point , a particular season will unfold where we get back. I have no idea when, but at some point.
All that said, I don't believe our current coach is "The guy ".
So, I'll have to wait, in my opinion.
Since we've been in this conference, I've witnessed, like everyone else, the "ebb and flow" of various programs across the divisions and conference as a whole. I learned along time ago " never say never".

Wrong. If Florida had beaten Bama in the SEC title game in either of the last two years, the Gators would not have been in the CFP.

You have to have no fewer than two losses and with two losses, you're a long shot. Two of the three Arky teams that made it to the SEC title game would have made the CFP if it had existed back then.

Well.............. we already know Bert is a failure, so that's already out there. Bert with an overall winning % of .490 and an SEC winning % of .313 at Arkansas

I really don't see Ed O doing that bad with a current overall winning percentage of .750 and an SEC winning % of .667 at LSU

I agree; Bert is a failure. I said above, in my opinion, he's not "the guy".
With the four team playoff now, I do think a two loss SEC team gets into that format more often than not. These conference plus one "playoff games" to decide the conference championship are essentially a "play in" contest. So, at 11-2 , whichever conference champion we trot out, likely gets a seat at the table now.
It's the very thing that penalizes the Big 12 now; there's no plus one title game to leave a final lasting impression on the playoff committee.
It really can be a game to redeem a team before a national audience and the committee. It seems college football nowadays is not only a " what have you done lately" perception is reality, but also these conference title games are the first round playoff games. Just my humble opinion.

LSU is only marginally better than Arkansas historically. Prior to Saban, it was a tossup which program had more success. But then, that was before 2000.

oh really? Where was Arkansas ranked for all time wins prior to 2000? And LSU? I assume you have these numbers on hand after a comment like that.

WTF?

We could claim 6 football NC. Actually we are looking into claiming 4 legitimate titles, how do you think we are marginally better than Arkansas historically? Way to just spout off stupid shite

Of course it could happen, anything could happen. But only 6 teams have won the SEC since integration for a reason.

Matt Jones didn't come to Arky till 2001. I know more about your own team than you do you dumb bastard you're thinking of 2002

remember Matt Jones' last game at Arkansas in 2004, with a bowl berth and the LR winning streak on the line? It was ugly.
