If 3 playoff teams are eliminated due to Covid, will the remaining team accept it?

I mean, I'm sure Alabama would since they claim more titles than years they have played football.

Seems kinda lame to actually claim a title without playing a game.

Will be on par with UCF claiming a national title when they went undefeated.

Imagine having a Default National Championship parade, pathetic.

The NCAA has already stated that this would indeed be the case.

Also I feel like this is more story-boarded for UGA winning it, so nobody would recognize it and 1980 would live on.

That's not happening. These four teams are not testing this week.

Per the Playoff Committee’s rules that they released last week, they will award it to the remaining team.

I know that they would award it, seems lame that a school would accept it.

I would claim it too, but it's not going to stop rivals from shitting on it.

I think Cincinnati would be the team that least wants to win it by default.

They have only lost 1 game in 2 years, fought to finally get in, they want to win it on the field.

Alabama has no shame, they will claim it.

Georgia hasn't won since 1980, they will claim it.

Michigan beating OSU and winning a default National Title would be their greatest accomplishment in a century, they would be all over it.

Like every year ever before the BCS when a #1 vs #2 matchup wasn't guaranteed. Or, back to the poll era when final ranking was end of the regular season?

I don't think many have to really stretch the imagination to think of it.

And, 2 of the 4 have already played. The cfb world fan boards would certainly melt if Bama won. Although the thought of 1980 going away with a default championship without playing after being beaten by Bama would also be great.

That said, it isn't happening. If teams can get 11 players on the field, they will

Sure. But it would definitely only be my 7th favorite Bama National Championship in the last 13 years.

The CDC shortened its COVID-19 isolation recommendation to 5 days for asymptomatic people after some disease experts said 10 days was too long

LINK

They cut quarantine time in half today. if anything they just push a game back a week

Rant would be in a full glorious meltdown if Georgia backed it’s way into a NC that way.

So if they all are out with Covid then Notre Dame is awarded the NC?

If Notre Dame is out with Covid then it's Ohio State?

It's idiotic, No playoff games,no national championship.

Just make it to Friday and down to 2 teams. Push the NC game back a week or so if need be.
