If you quit your job, do you think you should be required to pay back all the money you earned from that year?

There’s got to be some sort of penalty.

Punitive threats do very little to change behavior. You've got to give them the carrot not the stick. And the only way to do it is to expand the playoffs and git rid of so many of these minor bowls.
If they have something to play for they will be there.

maybe establish an all in team culture. It may work. Come to think of it, Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State seem to have that already.

College football is a microcosm of our society as a whole. They're both broken, and neither will be "fixed". Sorry to rain on the parade, but it is what it is.

Bowl games are meaningless participation throphies anyways.

Expand the playoffs to 5 conference champs and 3 at large

Or we could just let them turn pro right out of high school since they didn't want any of that shite you mentioned anyway.

If you hire a contractor to remodel your kitchen and he quits before it’s finished, do you pay?

Imagine having that opinion at work...
“No, mr boss. I’m not doing that because I find it meaningless and it could hinder my ability to get a better gig soon.”

If they’re employees then they should be paid.

If they were being paid I would have no problem withholding game checks if they sat out.

Bama & Clemson are substantially better than everyone else?

Clemson wasn’t better than Notre Dame earlier in the season. And they play in the ACC. Weak take. Wow they needed help from refs to beat OSU last year and they’ll probably need help again. Bama? Yes. Clemson no.

Problem solved.

This is moronic but not suprising.

Thank God Saban isn't as dumb as some of our fans because the minute any coach dares to suggest anything like this he can kiss those recruits goodbye.

Not a bad idea but not too many NFL GM's are going to draft a high school kid.

Did I see players who had quit their teammates standing on the sidelines in street clothes? If so, those coaches should be fired. No way I let a quitter act as if he's still a member in good standing.

You are expecting way too much from a piece of shite like Dan Mullen

How about just having a leader who mentors them and gets them to understand that they don't increase their value by sitting on the couch? That works for us.
