I’d just like UGA fans to tell these young guys how great…

Dominique Wilkins was. This is one legendary SEC athlete that we don’t remember enough. We talk about Shaq and Barkley but man, Dominique was as good as basketball gets- and a great guy as well. Went down the YouTube rabbit hole last night and damn…is he under valued by casual fans.

Not a Georgia fan, but he was definitely great. Also very interesting that Georgia's only final 4 came the year after he left. Team cohesivness is better than having a superstar. Not a knock on Wilkins at all, just an intersting side note.

A great shooter or an athletic scorer?

Where i grew up, Dominique Wilkins was absolutely loved. I can remember nerf basketball games when we argued over who of us was Dominique

A top 50 player in NBA history. Go back and watch that famous duel he had with Bird. His mid range jumper was a killer. He was FAR more than a dunker.

Incredible baller with actual skill. But that tomahawk is what he’s known for.
The tomahawk was brutal.

I saw him in person at the 1981 SEC tournament in Birmingham. He was outrageously athletic!

I was lucky enough to be in school when he played. Incredible to think we only made the NIT with him. He was so fun to watch. He did a 360 slam in Gainesville and UF fans were cheering!!

Dominique Wilkins and Herschel Walker were on Georgia's campus at the same time that Charles Barkley and Bo Jackson were on Auburn's campus. That's sort of mindblowing.
