Actually I’m not sure this is far off. LSUs OL was not great in 2019. They’ve had MUCH better OL in the past and maybe I’m putting more stock in the 2021 GA defense than I should but I think this team would give LSU fits.

I don't expect LSU 2019 or BAMA 2020 fans to give us the edge. Would be a coin flip with any matchup of the 3. UGA gave the best defensive effort vs. LSU after the regular season. Had no offense to help that D though. And without it you are gonna get blown out. Gonna see multiple pro bowlers from all 3 teams in the coming years.

Bad take man. 2019 LSU went 15-0, and on the home stretch, it absolutely decimated its opponents.
UGA has a mighty fine team this season, but getting to that 15-0 summit gets harder and harder each week starting with the SECCG.
That’s when 2019 LSU really became what it was, IMO. So we’ll see how UGA does. That defense is absolutely first class. Offense? Let’s see.

How long has it been since we saw a defense shut down a truly elite offense in a big game? UGA is fortunate that there are no elite offenses in the SEC this year.

Was Oregon considered an elite offense in 2010?
And we didn't shut down Oklahoma in 2017 and still won. Our defense is better this year than it was in 2017. Our offense is probably not quite as good, though.
Out of curiosity....name all the elite offenses in the last 5 years and name the elite offenses this year.
Because we were told that Tennessee, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida and Auburn were all going to expose us.

Your D isn't terribly much better than your 2019 D. Your offense is better, but it isn't 2019 Oklahoma or Clemson better, who couldn't do jack against LSU's 2019 D. LSU 2019 soundly defeats your team from this year.
