2021 UGA would not beat any of the prior 3 national champions. I really think they’d only even have competitive games against 2014 Ohio State, 2015 Alabama, and 2017 Alabama amongst the CFP era champions.
It is a bad year for college football across the board. Happens every so often where it seems like the entire nation had a roster turnover. Just about every blue-blood program has a worse team than any of their prior handful of teams. I don’t believe too much in “asterisk titles” though. Nobody will give a damn what the competitive landscape was like after the season is over outside of shitposting stations such as this site.
