FWIW, I've never given a crap about baseball.... but it's kinda cool we're playing for the SECC.

You're backwoods ignorant statement speaks volumes about you. I don't have season tickets to LSU Women's basketball or softball, but when they play in the NCAA tournament, I'm right there in front of my tv pulling for them to win. Why? Because I'm a Tiger fan.
As for baseball/football. Who makes more money, Alex Rodriguez Peyton Manning? Ryan Howard or Drew Brees? CC Sabathia or Adrian Peterson?
I'll take the longevity and financial security of a MLB career over a NFL career anyday.

Maybe football only matters at Alabama, but some schools actually excel in multiple sports. I know that's a hard concept for most Bama fans to grasp.
