Have you looked at the depth chart back in 2020?

Arkansas didn't have a defensive and offensive line. It took three years to get an experienced offensive line with some depth and the defensive line still needs some work.

Linebacker is thin, the secondary is devastated with injuries. WR and RB are the only positions on this team that has good depth.

People on this board don't know the difference between a valid reason and an excuse.

Loss to #1 Alabama.
Loss to #2 Alabama.
Loss to #2 Alabama.
Loss to #2 Georgia.
Loss to #17 Ole Miss.
Loss to #23 aTm.
Loss to #23 Mississippi State.

That's 7 of our 9 losses. 4 of the 9 essentially everyone in the SEC that played them lost to, so not really that shocking.

Dude, every team has excuses, or as you like to call them "valid reasons". When does the "valid reasoning" stop with Chad Morris? Does he have to be dead and buried for his influence on Arky football to finally cease?

It took Pinkel more than 3 years to rebuild Missouri. Was he just using "excuses" when his teams struggled early on?

It took more than three years for Mark Stoops to build up Kentucky and he didn't have the portal in his early years.

Pinkel never used excuses, nor did he uses valid reasoning. He just did it.

Honestly, we're not talking coaches here. I don't hear Pittman giving valid reasons to his record, just the Arky fans here.

Sam Pittman before the season began said that the rebuild has exceeded his expectations. So in retrospect he didn't expect Arkansas to go 9-4 in his second year but more like 6-6 or 5-7.

I gotcha. I think the reason I'm quick to discuss it is because I feel like many fans(including our own) don't acknowledge the challenging situation Pittman has faced. Although Pittman's record is actually solid especially considering his 1st year he had a 10 game SEC schedule.

Mizzou is a combined 14 points from being 7-7 on this list after the Auburn, Florida, Georgia disappointments. I’m sure Arky and the others have similar stretches of close losses in there

Arkansas was expected to go 0-10 that year.

This is patently untrue. The good news is that it means that you’re not reading our board. The bad news is that it means you just make stuff up.

Interesting considering we're 4-3 in our past 7 and also won our final regular season game last year. We suck enough right now, no need to lie.

My point: just about every school has a coach in their history who set the clock back, so to speak. We've got our own group that, believe it or not, blame Pinkel (2015 bullshite) for our current position in the SEC hierarchy. Those people are, for lack of a better term, retarded.

I'm sure Chad Morris did plenty of stupid shite, but as one poster already pointed out, he's been gone for over 1,000 days now. With the portal the way it is, there's really no more excuses for having a thin roster.

Chad wasn't the only one. Bert set it back, before him was Petrino that left Arkansas a demented mental patient in John L. Smith.

Arkansas not only has to rebuild from a decade of horror football 13-51 SEC record from 12-19 but has to rebuild an image of a football program dead in the grave.
