Compare his numbers to Randy Moss' rookie year. Go ahead.

Put Chase back in the league when moss was a rookie and watch those numbers drop. When DBs could assault receivers it was different.

Please.

The kid is good but he will NEVER be randy moss. That's just stupid.

In college, not even close. Heisman says hello.

This is laughable. He stayed for his senior year, which no skill player in college ever does if they have a grain of talent. Think about it, Chase would be a senior right now, and he’s treating grown men like kids. He’d probably put up 3k in college this year easily.

And secondly, the majority of the great talent opted out. None of the conferences besides the sec even played full schedules. It was a joke of a season. And definitely deserves an asterisk if there ever was one.

Bama 2020 is the best team ever. No question.

And no one believes this except stupid gump fans. In a season with no fans and no top level talent. Major conferences didn’t start playing till what November. Laughable lol.

Chase quit on his teammates in college while Smith was winning the Heisman. This is not true lol. Chase has had a better pro career so far though.

D Smith helped Bama get 2 national championships— that’s really all I cared about.

In the NFL, I’m rooting more for my team than Bama players— unless they’re playing for the Pats….

Jamarr Chase is having a great season and is a great player but he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Jerry Rice. Jamarr Chase will have to produce like this for 15 to 20 years to come close to putting up Jerry Rice stats. Most of the great receivers can't produce that long or last that long in the league. That's why Jerry Rice is the GOAT receiver. You have to produce year after year to be considered on Jerry Rice level. Most have good seasons here and there but can't do it for the long haul.

I agree. Chase should be ROY, but let’s not go crazy and put him in the Rice/Moss discussion. That’s not fair to anyone.

Man, be honest here. Yes, they are in different offenses. But you clearly see that Smith can stretch the field with his speed. However, Chase is a much more complete WR. He can be a position receiver, his route running gets him open plenty, he also can stretch the field with his speed. His best attribute is his uncanny ability to adjust to the ball which allows him to win contested catches at a high rate.

Is smith a solid WR in the NFL thus far, Yes. Is he in the same conversation as Chase...not even close. It's ok to say a player from a university not your own is better. Hell, Derick Henry is a man among boys in the NFL...it is what it is.

Smith best attribute is being a burner. Its a huge difference between 6-0 170 lbs. and 6-1 200 lbs. of course smith isn't nearly as good catching in traffic OR going up over DB's for contested catches. Chase is no doubt the best WR of his draft class. Hell, Jefferson has been phenomenal as well. Of the top 3 WR's all-time with most yards in their 1st 2 seasons, 1. Jefferson 2. Beckham 3. Moss. And just think, Chase has more yards in his rookie season than all 3 on the list.

From Week 8 to Week 15, Chase averaged just 40.6 yards receiving as the Bengals went 3-4 over that seven-game stretch.

So slightly worse than Smith’s average in all 16 games. Guess it’s good that Chase averaged about 130 ypg in the other 9

Admirable effort trying to rationalize an NFL rookie record though

Not unusual for wideouts to have ups and downs over the course of a season, particularly rookies. His total numbers are astounding, and he just dominated the Bengals’ biggest game of the year.

Smith needed 4 years to become a top 10 pick.

If he was going to be a too 5 pick after 2019 he would have been gone so fast your head would spin.

Nothing altruistic about it.

Nah. Chase has better stats because he has a QB throwing him the ball, not a RB impersonating a QB throwing him the ball.
Nah, that's not it.
