Don't lose by 31 and give up 55 points to Iowa.

Maybe if Ohio State fakes that Barrett is hurt in one of the blowouts, they get in.

By the committees own rankings OSU had wins over:

Wisconsin #5
Penn St #9
Michigan st #16

Bama over:

LSU #17
MSU #23

I think what you are saying would be valid if the committee had ranked those teams lower.

If they don't have any chance at all of a playoff berth, why are they playing in the FBS?

There could be another lawsuit coming.

What teams did Wisconsin, penn state, or Michigan state beat that makes them such great quality wins for osu? There are none.

They also said if your team isnt in power 5, forget it. It needs to be expanded. I wanna see things settled on the field and not by a committee

This is a bigger deal to me. UCF finally fielded a fricking fantastic football team, and got hosed for it.

I honestly believe UCF would beat Miami, Penn St, Wisconsin, and maybe USC. Could also pick off OSU fairly easily, if the team that played Iowa showed up. They would give the entire top 10 a pretty good game for the most part.

Every year the 'committee sends a message'. Shouldn't those messages be stated out front by way of criteria? It shouldn't be so contentious at this point.

Time to scrap the committee. Use the BCS formula. Take top 4.

Put G5 teams in separate category and let them play for their own national title.

Allow bowls to mix and match P5 and G5 teams if they want.

Umm, you are the one talking about OSU's quality wins. Remember posting this?

OSU had more quality wins. So if anything it still evens out in the end right? So what's the tie breaker?

According to the playoff committee. That's not my opinion. It's the committees opinion

Using the BCS formula...Bama still gets in over Ohio State.

In fact, the same four teams are still in the playoffs with the old BCS formula. Georgia is just #2 over Oklahoma.
