I sure can sense it out and about this morning. Mournful and sad faces on the sidewalk masses. The poor fools had convinced themselves that they were going to win it all. Last week you began to hear it: I think that we can win it all. The arrogance had landed. Oats was now referred to as "Nate" just as they like to refer to Saban as " Nick". "Nate" had arrived as their round ball savior. One that would forever wipe the shame of never reaching the Final Four away. Now they want to avoid any mention of it. If you bring it up: immediate deflection.

It really eats at their soul knowing that Auburn has been to a Final Four and they never have. And now their dreams have been dashed.

Oh well. Too bad.

We get made fun of for calling our coaches "Coach _____ " instead of first or last name.

Which is it?

Basketball will always be secondary to football in the south. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

Meh. We average well over 10,000 in attendance to Basketball games even in average years during non-Covid seasons.

When things open back up, I expect our average will be 13,000+. A lot of Bama fans love basketball. We have a historically well above average basketball program, IMO.

That wouldn't make much sense considering our roster next season will be very good again

Bama's favorite white knight is here to defend Big Bro Bama and suck them off some more.

It's secondary. Football is KING in the south. Always has been, always will be.

Overall you’re probably right but some folks like me prefer basketball. I do love football too but basketball has been and always will be my personal #1.

sure it is..........but it was all about basketball, with bama fans, until last night. Now it is "just some secondary sport".
