I’m not surprised that people with no talent in their base to pull from are loving this new system.
Agree with you 100%. Ive stated in another thread that I want Notre Dame to earn their title...not buy one and am very glad that they arent active in the portal and are instead spending their money on the recruits coming in. I dont want Notre Dame or any other team with massive money to become the New York Yankees of college football and buy championships.

I used to love CFB Saturdays..I will watch still but my joy has greatly dwindled. Now I like Pro Football more even though my team is very bad currently.

Deeprig – Did you think the guy was lying? Don’t be so quick to jump to conclusions. Times have changed—this isn’t about casually sitting back and pretending to talk football anymore. Real things are happening. I came to Dawgrant to give a heads-up, and it’s clear that UGA fans are slow to catch on.

Dear diary, I think I’m over college football. I’m a mid tier booster at UGA. Spent more than I probably should have since I graduated and watched football every Saturday for 30 years(some of you have seen my melts lol).
What has me at the “I don’t give a shite” point is our 1st string rb threatening to go to Ohio state.
Individually I don’t really care about his decision but this system is so broken.
I’d love to go back to giving guys 10k in a McDonald’s bag.
Rant over.
I bet you think the NFL is dying too.

You came to Dawgrant because you finally got unbanned and JacketFan77 wasn't doing his job there.

Go ahead and be done with football like you said you were, take your hormone pill, go to bed and frick yourself before shopping on Amazon, you stupid bitch.
Yikes. Your writing is full of anger. I didn’t mean to provoke you and I’m not interested escalating this any further. Should you be going through an issue you can call 311. I hope you have a good night.

I don’t even know if I’m a fan or not. I discuss this with buddies like it is politics rather than a “college” sport.

What they need is a QB whos’s not afraid to run. But Day is too stubborn to have a QB tryout next year. Tavien St Clair has much more athleticism than Sayin but Day won’t play him. I’m almost done too
Sayin was a Heisman finalist. The 2 games you lost weren't because Sayin couldn't run, it's because your running backs couldn't run against those two teams.
Your online got manhandled and exposed against the only 2 teams that weren't mediocre.

NIL isnt the problem, the portal is.
If the portal wasn't a free agency bonanza, the playoff looks much different than it does today.
There has to be a limit to transfers. One free transfer. That's it. All subsequent transfers have to sit a year. Just changing that, would change the game back to something recognizable. Idgaf if Texas wants to spend $50m on their roster. The market will even it out when players go there, get a check and then transfer out of there to play somewhere. Players are not going to sit at Texas or OhioSt or Michigan for 3-4 years and not play even if they are making $5m/year.

You are exactly right in my opinion. Deferring to the courts is never a good strategy so here we are

Jack - Do you know are contracts evolving— making it more difficult to get in the portal compared to the current contracts? I feel like the day is coming

Saban's system of hoarding talent is no more.
The problem for Georgia is that's Kirby's system too.
Not being able to lock up all the best talent to prevent the other schools from getting it has been the foundation for Bear, Saban, and Kirby. And it's a thing of the past.
And their fanbases are not happy about it
