Imagine taking over a top 4 team, number 1 composite for talent.

You just had a flash in the pan season season at a PAC12 school loaded with Covid seniors you didn’t recruit.

You get dragged in the national championship by a bigger, more physical and better coached team.

You’re also following the greatest coach of all time who still probably has more years in the tank.

Then being like, you know what, I should purge as many of these 5 stars as possible on the roster, frick this recruiting class and then gut the coaching and support staff—most of which have legitimate head coaching and nfl experience.

This is either extreme hubris or just incompetence. Why would Bama need a rebuild like this?

Having a bunch of Saban loyalists around might not be advantageous for him.

That's all I got...

I don’t dislike him but I really wanted Kiffin to be our coach. I think it was a huge mistake to not hire Lane.

Took over a 4-8 team. Next two seasons:

11-2

14-1 + a NC game appearance

He brought his QB with him and turned him into a Heisman finalist. Yeah, “flash in the pan.” You guys have got to come up with new material. You’ve got 8 months. Better pace yourself.

Well, your reasoning is myopic and simple minded.

Sorry, not sorry, if that was dickish. But some need to hear the truth.

If for no other reason, for recruiting.

The way you start threads about Alabama it makes me think you are the love child of Chexmix and WilliamTaylor.

Will happen at Georgia also. No way to follow Kirby either. Same scenario as Saban. Just gotta suck it up.
Now if Georgia can learn from Alabama and do this a much better way then they did maybe it works. You gotta have someone on staff

Bama would have been setup fricking perfect if Saban retired in 2020. He would have went out on top with an undefeated season and championship and Sark could have stepped up and took the HC spot and retained everything. And that was before the NIL machine took off that is the root of all of this chaos.

I love Coach Saban but with hindsight seeing how this is playing out, him retiring after winning the 2020 season would have been ideal for Bama.

That’s how it goes when considering hindsight though. Looking back it’s obvious that I shouldn’t have let that hot seductress peg my arse to avoid her blackmailing me by holding that over my head. Epstein style blackmail man. frick that bitch she was wrong for that. Anyways, Roll Tide

25-3 in 2 seasons, so flash in the pan TWO seasons.

Also, there were only four six year seniors on his squad, and 3 of them played all 6 seasons at UW.

If you're BAMA, and you want a guy that can win with someone else's talent, who else would you want?

It’s not really that important to anyone else that you can’t process the Bama transition.
Why don’t you process the Georgia loss in the sec championship game?

Oh, they processed that loss by beating FSU's cheerleaders in the Orange Bowl.

I’m not upset at all. You’re the one who sounds frustrated by listing all the tidbits which you can’t “process.”
Does is really matter to you? Keeping you awake at night?

"Georgia loss in the SEC championship..." ???

What does that have to do with Bama's team being in shambles and their program doomed?
