In Kirkpatrick's case, we know that he has been torched by complete receivers like South Carolina's Alshon Jeffery. Last time I checked, if an NFL team uses a first round pick on a CB, that CB will be counted on to defend No. 1 receivers - which look a lot like Jeffery. Kirkpatrick is certainly a talented DB, and probably will have a long and prosperous NFL career, but ahead of Claiborne? At this point, I wouldn't do it.

This would be a good argument if Claiborne had had to cover the Jeffery's of the SEC like Dre did. But Peterson got the other teams top receiver.

Kirkpatrick hasnt proved dick, Julio was in another league.

Like any other superstar, most of Julios mistakes were blown out of proportion and magnified.

Lol this. They talk about how shitty Dre was, despite him being damn good against everyone but Jeffrey, who was making ridiculous grabs that night. Cracks me up everytime one of em gets up on their anti-Dre soapbox.

When I think Dre Kirkpatrick, I think Alshon Jeffery... and that beast mode, GTFOM, one-handed grab to seal the game.

Yeah, he had damn near perfect coverage on that play, but it was a perfect throw and catch.

There is no denying that Julio was an absolute beast his freshman and junior years. There is also no denying that he put up laughably bad stats during his sophomore year.. doesn't matter, you guys won it all then.. even if he didn't play a huge role.

He was just not that good in 2009.. and he looked like an NFL receiver in 2010.

You just can't see deeper than a stat sheet.

In 2009 he had roughly half the receptions, half the yards, and half the TDs he did in 2010. He sucked. He went Godmode his senior season. He obviously played a large role in blocking on the outside for Ingram.. I'll give you that.. but a TE split out wide could have done the same thing.

lol you are joking, right? 600 yards, 46 receptions(over half of which went for first downs) and 4 TDs are hardly laughable, especially considering that basically every team's defense game planned around him. Not to mention him being clutch as frick when we needed someone to step up. You are dumb.
