What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That’s hilarious. You and the other three stooges post on here constantly about LSU. You can backtrack all you want, but you know what’s coming in September.

Dude paints a picture of how the current expenses in the revenue sharing era increase the cost of everything to an unsustainable point. If you decide to move on from a head coach, there's no good way within the rules to cover that financial hit. I'm not part of this whole Ole Miss vs LSU dick wagging contest. My point is about college athletics as a whole. I would have posted this had it been about literally any other school.

You posted an article from February that was posted by a fairly obscure LSU blog.

Holy fricking shite. How hard is it for all of you to understand what I am saying here?

I am not taking a shot at LSU.
This post is not about LSU.
It uses an LSU article because it illustrates the issues that ALL SEC SCHOOLS are facing right now.

This is what the meeting with the boosters is all about. No one has the money to keep going the way that this is going. It's just going to get more outrageous. Schools are going to have to come up with creative ways to make money for the department and the players.

This is where the dangers of private equity creep in. I really hope that hook isn't shiny enough for ADs to take that bait.

It popped up in my Twitter feed. I read it because it was interesting.

If I was trying to take a shot at LSU, then why have I been trying to discuss it as everything but that? I'll go further. Ole Miss, with the playoffs and everything else lost $5 million in FY2025. Here's our balance sheet for reference:

https://olemisssports.com/documents/2026/1/15/NCAAReport_FY25.pdf

The current rev share (not even including NIL) is making the cost of all sports programs excessive, especially women's sports. NIL funding adds to donor fatigue. The current rules prevent boosters from plugging the holes. This is going to be a slippery slope into private equity because athletic departments are going to get desparate. That's what I am trying to discuss but everyone wants to get butthurt instead. It was the best article that I have seen that explains the complexities of this mess.

The only one that seems to get it and want to have that discussion is Lunatik.

Your post history is you constantly taking shots at LSU, and then your title does no favors either.

Not sure why you're surprised.

Where was LSU mentioned in my title? My title eludes to SEC programs.

It seems you're delusional, so I guess you being shocked over the reaction makes sense.

You're delusional about how you come across.

You can't talk smack to LSU fans constantly, and then post a thread like this, and not expect to people to see it as a shot.

That's delusional behavior.

One of the things surprising to me was the increase to rev share. I thought it was a flat $20.5 million but according to the article, that goes up every year.

I think you may have me confused with someone else. I do not talk smack to LSU fans much at all. I only really ever talk smack to Tennessee fans but they all went away.
