The 1st amendment only involves the government stepping in. The SEC doing whatever they do is not covered by the 1st Amendment. That said LSU should leave the SEC. This isn’t just because of the current situation. Now that we have a 12 team playoff, if we have a national championship caliber team we will get into the playoffs. Conference titles don’t matter anymore. Kind of the same way an NFL team winning their division used to be a big deal. Now all the top NFL teams make the playoffs and no one cares about division titles.

This entire "thing" (prosecute with no evidence and render a judgement with that and no real chance to defend) is something you'd expect in some totalitarian country/regime...not here. The moral of story...."don't laugh, it could be your school next if they don't like you"

because LK trolled him.

You’re giving Lane way too much credit here. He wasn’t trolling. He absolutely planned on signing those 2 players, and subsequently got shoved in a locker.

No one’s “right to earn a living” has been taken away. LSU(or whomever) can still pay them the agreed upon amount.

I'm pretty sure the SEC will have ample opportunity to try to prove that in court.

I am trying to figure out how Sark had no communications with Cole but somehow the kid got back on campus and into practice and on the team when the standard procedure for all NCAA teams is he has to reach out and communicate with HD and AD before any of that can happen.

I see another lawsuit coming that the SEC will lose.

I was only planning on quoting the first sentence and saying that you’re 100% correct but frankly….everything you said is correct.

I mean as far as a rights violation goes I think thats pushing it

More like an egregious overstep to say we lack institutional control because he made a joke to a sideline reporter and they find fault in our administration for not addressing that directly.

One could even argue its directed at dabo and not the sec cause he mentioned the contract violation thing. Pretty tame either way.

frick I wish. I just don’t have the time anymore. My headset fell apart a while back and I got a wild hair to do some PVE and got my shite pushed in by bosses 3 rounds in a row. Does every damned map have bosses now? How in the shite did Factory turn into such a big map

Havent played in 6 months or so but I was addicted to PVE and got kappa. Great experience to just forego the cheaters in pvp. They were randomly rotating bosses last time I was on. Goons on shoreline etc. Havent seen the new factory yet but if you get a wild hair again ill reinstall for sure

How have they been violated?

Has the conference fined or sanctioned him?

What am I missing.

They haven’t.

There are a number of LSU fans some even in this thread, who believe that the SEC either is or is potentially infringing on Lane‘s first amendment rights.
