I like what I'm hearing. Miss State secondary finally has some playmakers.

Been hearing for a while that it was possible the last few weeks. That has been our weakness, secondary. Now I hear they are very good and I knew we had the speed but not technique. Mullen was always "Bend but don't break" and that did not work out well in a lot of games.

So if we have true corners along with a pass rush, we gonna be in good shape. Also, I hear Moorhead's offense is perfect for our RB Kylin Hill. He was a big recruit who Mullen didn't give much attention to and wanted him between the tackles. He is dangerous in open space and something tells me Moorhead understands that stuff better than Mullen.

Mullen was a great QB coach, but how many remember Mullen trying to rush a 165 lb RB up the middle only to lose yards or get one. The Miss State fans remember. You can be a good coach, a great QB coach and do a great job coaching up players. It does not mean you do other things well.

Just like Les Miles.
They both have trouble chewing gum and walking.

How do you rush 5-8 / 165 lb Holloway up the middle over and over? That was a brain fart on Mullen. Holloway was fast yes but put him in the slot. No business running the football.

Auburn fan, if you can't stop the pass, you probably gonna give up rushing yards too. As far as 2016 goes, we had Peter Sirmone as a new DC. He lasted one year and got the boot. No DC gave up more yards than he did under Mullen.

Well you need to rush for that in our house this year to win. Looking forward to it vs our front 7.

Because we all know MSU was focused on Gus Malzahn’s Air raid offense

We run the ball till you stop it. If you can’t, we probably won’t ever pass. That’s Gus’ MO.

In 2017, we ran the ball 39 times. Passed it 17. That’s 70% run

In 2016, we ran the ball 56 times. Passed it 18. That’s 76% run.

Anymore excuses for me to shoot down?

We did it in your house last time we were there and y’all “were focused on Sean White”

Just imagine this time around with Stidham back there

No excuses, I want to see you try that this year. Will not happen. Mark it down. If Gus thinks he's gonna do that in 2018 then I like it. Will NOT happen and not only sacks, but rushing yards lost behind the line of scrimmage. Bring it on!

Oh please. We had Peter Sirmone as DC , he gave up more yards than anyone which is why he got booted. He was in over his head and had never been a DC in his life. Shame on Mullen for hiring him.

Sirmon's defense gave up 178 rushing ypg.

Shoop's defense gave up 219 rushing ypg in 2016.
And 251 rushing ypg in 2017.

Comparing the shite show at Tennessee to what he has at State isn’t even close to the same and you know that.
