In the book "A Short History Of Football In Alabama" by Pat Dye ,the fambly teaches we are the best in history, which came from 20s-30s Germany.
All copies of the book were burned by H Updike, but One copy was recovered at the bottom of lake Martin wrapped in a pair of blue jeans. It is now in Washington,DC at the Smithsonian.
You are welcome

Just admit there is nothing special about the values learned from Auburn University.

Well you should care, because your analogy sucked, and at Auburn we teach Auburn men not to make shitty analogies and then get all rustled when they're pointed out.
The analogies section isn't in the Creed, it's in "What is Auburn" by David Housel.
It's adjacent to the section about not getting riled up about things your rival does that don't concern you.

These people somehow managed to get brainwashed into believing that they are morally superior to everyone else because they love their University - as if that's a quality that sets them apart from anyone else.
Brainwashed? From the guy that said he couldn't stomach Auburn at 4 years old? That's a word Gumps should never use.

I know that post may have been too much for you to comprehend, but the entire story was a fabrication, except for expecting our first child.

Being an Auburn man is like being in Robin Hood's merry band of thieves. Yeah, they are undeniably the protagonists of their narrative, but they accomplish their ends through cheating and guile to defeat otherwise superior opponents. It's a sort of rustic, plucky, outlaw ethos that allows them to to feel good about being bottom-dwelling rapscallions.

My question is what exactly are these characteristics of being an Auburn man, and how are they different/superior to other manly characteristics?
Do you remember how they cheered (and really still do) the dirtiest SEC player to ever strap on cleats, Nick Fairly. Not just defended, but really just loved how he made illegal hit after hit intentionally trying to hurt players with some of the nastiest cheap shots the game has ever seen. That's all you need to know about what being an Auburn man is all about. When it comes to high morals, many just talk the talk and dont actually walk the walk.

It isn't his fault. The art of effective capitalization is lost on most of the posters here.

We do speak of being the Auburn family and being an Auburn Man. That there is more to life than football. Some folks are attracted to that and we use that. Even within the family some do not like the Creed (Bama you have one now also). But for old folks it defines the Auburn life.
The Auburn Creed
I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.
I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully.
I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.
I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports that develop these qualities.
I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all.
I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.
I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by "doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God."
And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
