I really hate the arkansas fan base. That being said, I feel bad for the fans. Know how it feels to be so close, yet so far.

I agree with this this completely. It kind of numbed the outcomes moving forward and became Les’ defining moment. It was frustrating, but 2012 and 2014 hurt way more. We literally were the better team in those games and lost.

I’d much rather lose in the semi than the way Arky did in the final. Hate to see that for the Hogs, but they’ll be back before you know it. Nothing cures all like winning.

I was at the 2014 game. It was surreal.
I'm not at all suggesting that I don't get emotional or really into the games, but that generally any sort of disappointment from losing wears off much quicker than it used to. No sense in dwelling on it for days on end.

Yeah agree with this. Still one of the weirdest plays I have ever seen. In baseball aggressive mistakes can happen. Second basemen looked like he was shot out of a cannon and then was like a deer in the headlights when he bumped into the other player. Guess it could have been adrenaline which has to be harnessed in baseball differently than other sports. Feel bad for the Shaddy kid. He is one hell of a ball player.

Haha.

As a New Orleans Saints fan, this post reminds me of the January 2012 Divisional Playoff game @ the 49ers. Sproles scores a TD, Alex Smith goes for the long TD run, and then the Brees pass to Jimmy Graham for the looong TD....and then the Alex Smith pass to Vernon Davis with 9 seconds left.

Explosive Saints team...would have hosted the NY Giants in the Superdome for the NFC Championship. A team we throttled by 25 points weeks prior.

Saints with 5 turnovers and the 49ers with 0 and still had a shot to win.

I'd watch highlights of that game still thinking we'd win. Did that for a year or two.

And then the Vikings playoff loss this past January. Crazy loss but it doesn't hurt as bad knowing that Saints team was not as good as the 2011 NOLA Saints squad.

On to football season!!
