Idiotic move to accept this template. Nothing could be more divisive. Some guys are gonna block less for the money men.

You act like certain players aren't already making more than others

This isn't new

Up to 24 Tigers athletes will enter into third-party deals that include marketing assets and promotional appearances, starting in July through the Sept. 5 game, the Peach Bowl said. They will participate in social media posts, public appearances, advertisements, in-game promotions and media interviews while also appearing on signage and branding opportunities.

So let me get this straight...

They are using their Name, Image and/or Likeness to promote a brand/event?

What should we call this novel concept?

Every team has these disparities now.

Yep. It's more like the NFL so it is what it is. The rookie 3rd string WR knows he's making 1/80th of what his starting QB is making. He still has to catch the damn ball or get cut.

I think we should add to the play clock so the ball carrier can thank his sponsor after each down.

It's a terrible decision especially for the kids who barely missed the cut. Can you image how pissed off you'd be if your were 20 and lost out on $250k for something arbitrary like this?

I heard a random insider claim every player is getting paid but 24 has the game in their contract so they have to fulfill some other obligations

How about putting that money in a pool that is payable after the game. The money to be distributed after an instant online vote, via smartphone, by the season ticket holders.

Lose the game, y’all ain’t getting shite.

Is that the one they moved to ATL? If so, they screwed the town and local businesses who have supported them for decades to pay player bonuses. This version of CFB sucks.

Sure, but the way this is presented is $250K vs Zero. Infinity is not a good ratio.

I agree. It's just a conversation, discourse, if you will. Normal people participate it from time to time. They present opinions, and those opinions are debated in a civil manner.

Nothing is owed. No need to get defensive.
