The University of Alabama paid for it, and administrators were not happy about it.

Well, to be fair, everyone has lsu troll syndrome since it is a constant. When a troll make a somewhat actual post all the spidey senses go up.
So just give him a break.

that was a sad story. Forget "Alabama" for a minute it could/should be a "life lesson" for any guy whoever pondered cheating on his wife, etc. Remember his sons were on that staff, too.
Whereas he brought this 100% on himself, too see that guy publically humiliated (and justifiably), his wife hearing the allegations at the hearing the BOS had..wow! And then after his dismissal his boys "left" all because their dad made a fool of himself in front of the world.
A legitimate choice, but that guy should have NEVER left Pullman.

Geez some of you are young.
Explains some things I suppose.
This is why I was happy with Shula, he wasn't embarrassing the program.

JMO but Mal should have just stuck with Joe Kines for that one season like I think UT is about to do with Steele. You're already screwed for the upcoming year so don't double down on you bad situation by forcing a hire.
Joe we got to stop that inside trap Kines. He was a good guy.

I was reading about the Bayou coach that went down in a plane. Turns out neither coached an SEC game.
You find humor in a coach and his pilot dying in a plane crash?
Loser.

Old? It was 2003... story is still a teenager.
Mike Price was never the Alabama football head coach. Didn’t sign his contract. I have the exact same W/L record in Tuscaloosa as he does.
I am glad he was able to overcome some of his demons and coach again though.

I'm 34 and had never heard of him till I saw the worst coaching hires list on twitter,he was number one .they had a link to the story and it was crazy how creepy he was . Even on campus he did the same type stuff.
Is that picture of one of the 2 girls that stayed with him ?she said they had a 3some and that she was on top when she said "roll tide roll" he then responded with "its rolling baby its rolling" and then it was over.
The article made it sound like ,the girl saying roll tide roll ,was enough to finish him off lol

I don’t know this for fact, but rumor was even Gene offered to come back as an interim for the season while a proper search was accomplished.
It sucked going through that time but MAN did it work out well for Alabama in the long run. !!!

I was surprised that Mal actually offered Mike the gig knowing full well Mike had a problem with Jack Daniels. I will assume the job was toxic at that point thus Mal had to roll the dice.
