I didn't make the argument the person was responding to, only countering the idea that LSU had "bad QBs".
They weren't bad in that you could just recruit a different QB and fix all LSU's woes that year; both players steadily got worse.
What part of my logic is difficult to grasp?

I follow. We are on the same page. I picked QBs, but could have picked coaching, scheme, etc. Whatever the root of LSU’s offensive weakness was 2011, it was more impactful on 9-6 than Bama having a weak kicker.
I replied to someone saying LSU wasn’t 9-6 better than Bama that day because Bama missed a bunch of 50 yard FGs.
