As much as I enjoy making fun of Tennessee, Heupel obviously is a good one. Hopefully he goes away sooner rather than later and bUTchug goes back into purgatory.

As queer as these NFL owners get nowadays looking for the next genius offensive playcaller, I just can't help but think that he'll have NFL head coaching offers soon. If Kliff fricking Kingsbury could get a head coaching job in the NFL, Heupel is a no-brainer.

I hope he takes the first one he's offered.

One way or the other Jimmy Sexton is about to get his fat arse a fat arse raise! Good from him. He deserves it.

I don't know how people think Heupul is good.

If he's good explain his record at UCF

Agree with you, BtH. Just had a buddy say we need to offer one of those “lifetime contracts,” and I responded that I’d like to see how we do in ‘23 and ‘24 first. Expecting a step back next year, but ‘24 will be the real tell-tale.

He was 28-8. Not shabby at all. Scott frost went 13-0 and now look at him.

I don’t know, just look at the player development prior to Huepel and after Heupel. Look at Hooker, McCoy, Hyatt, Tillman, Fant, and Milton prior to Heupel. Go check there stats out before and after Heupel. And you will have your answer.

What Heupul does is the opposite of player development lol.

He's really good at using players' tools but not polishing them. At worse he gives them habits they'll have to unlearn if they have any pro potential.

He also can't win the games that really matter.

Maybe at Mizzou. He took a 3 win team with the most losses to the transfer portal in the NCAA to bowl eligibility. Then took those slaw players no one wanted and turned them into an 11 win team. A team that beat BAMA, LSU, and Clemson.

You're smoking crack if you think Heupel doesn't know how to develop players. Princeton Fant is a 6th year senior and didn't do a thing until Heupel arrived. Same is true for several others including Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton who were both average players before Heupel.

Lol the game that mattered the most to UT fans this year was Bama. Which we won.

Personally, I'd build him a statue for that win alone.

stats do not equal development

Joe Milton couldn't hit the broadside of a barn his first year with us. If you can't see the development in him, you're blind. Princeton Fant was useless and became a indispensable utility knife for all kinds of situations this year.
