No, because no one that is a 3rd or 4th year player will leave unless they are getting drafted. It doesn't make sense. You must be a part of the tide pod generation because you aren't very smart.

What doesn't make sense? Every junior will declare for the draft bc there is no consequence - even if you sign with an agent & get drafted(or just sign with a team) & get paid & go through camp & get cut at some point you can still come back and play college ball next year so why would you not do it? You could do that twice if you needed to. Wtf why do you think everyone is opposed to this?? If it didn't cause more problems then why wouldn't everyone be for it

No reason to declare for the draft as a Jr if you aren't guaranteed to go in the 1st 3 rounds because you can get paid the same if not more in college. Try harder

There's no reason not do it to bc there's no downside to doing it. I don't know how to simplify the situation anymore so you can understand it. You can get drafted wherever and come back to college if it doesn't work out in your favor so everyone will declare for the draft.
As I said before, there will be guys asking to be cut early in camp or flat out quitting so they can get a head start on their recruitment with the next college team.

There is a downside to doing it. All these players coming back are back ups now. They lost their starting positions. Again, theres no point in going to the draft if you aren't going to be taken in the first 3 rounds. Its all about money, bud. Players know before they leave where their draft stock is. Thats why most of the guys you see going in the later rounds are all seniors. They aren't Jr's. Luckily these guys are more intelligent than you.

You're living in an alternative reality. There's already a steady stream of guys every year who declare for the draft or enter the portal and either fall down the draft board or don't get drafted at all or can't up their paycheck. Tomorrow, there may be no negative consequences for doing so so you're obviously going to get alot more of it.

No one is really outraged by this. Most people are just piling on and gaslighting because it’s the latest controversy.
It’s great that athletes have more opportunities and more freedom than they did in the past. But there are also risks for the athletes and the institutions involved, and those risks need to be accounted for and managed.
At some point, the colleges, conferences, NCAA, or some other governing body need to put real guardrails back in place. The current environment creates uncertainty for everyone, while a small army of attorneys continues to profit from the chaos and constant litigation.

You miss the point jang, it's not necessarily a defense of lsu so much as a lashing out at the hypocrisy of the people who have long since killed the sport and now want to act like white knights over this issue that probably doesn't even crack the top 20 of ways they have made the sport worse in the last 5 years. Where was this energy and defiance as the sport was being systematically slaughtered in ways that were obvious to everyone in real time? Now we are in an uproar because someone threw an extra shovel of dirt on a buried corpse?

The problem is you are basically saying there is already a whole pile of grievances in CFB so why start caring now. That right there is wrong in and of itself. Next you assume we just started caring about those grievances stacking up. I am right there with YOU in most of those grievances.

So you are talking about the SEC presidents and chancellors. Yes? Did you catch the Mizzou situation? A Mizzou player sued his own school, and said no, you cannot hold me out over SEC rules because I want my check. If that seems tenable to you then I dont know what to tell you.
