I hate the subject line of your ramblin' post...but I'd say a lot of your ramblin' was spot on. I see you're an Auburn fan and it brings me back to the game a few years back where LSU beat ya'll at the last second with a field goal. I was there, and feeling cockey by the win.
So, as I strolled past your fans in their tailgate or tent sites, I should say, I was yelling, "LSU Tigers, the real Tiger, not a cartoon version of a Tiger!" And I knew I was getting the deflated fans pissed off but I was enjoying the moment. One young fan, seemed like he was in his late 20's suddenly jolted toward me and screamed "f..k you!" I complimented him for being so articulate and asked if he had learned that big word at Auburn in maybe a journalism class. He just stared at me, mouth wide open, looking like a department store mannequin. And as I walked on, I gently blew him a kiss.
Them Auburn fans are easy!

I agree with all, except your stance on LSU and your personal decision to support AU.
I think most everyone agrees, as well. Here, in the "not" real world of this board, I think most posters are just having fun poking the bear to elicit a now 2 week melt of epic proportions from LSU posters that will last for the foreseeable future. If you thought our Bengal Tiger brethren's distrust of officiating and league offices in Bham were bad before, just wait until the first controversial call of the year.
I also think those outside of the ranter dynamics we enjoy here share the same opinion. Although, their staunch opposition to the issue is a straw that broke the camels back response for all of the reasons you laid out. The sport and college athletics has changed so much and so fast it is almost unrecognizable. This seems much more like a line in the sand moment from all parties grasping to hold onto what things were. The NCAA, conferences and institutions have lost control to lawyers, judges, state and federal government intervention and the athletes themselves. Fans are fed up. That is why we are here.
It is like that Michael Douglas movie Falling Down. It isn't this issue that is the issue. It is this issue on top of all of the other baggage that finally caused the snap. Unfortunately, LSU found itself at ground zero during the explosion.

I would tell you an opposite story. I sat in the Auburn student section the entire game in 2006 wearing my LSU gear, catching 9 kinds of hell from the frat boys all game long until it culminated in a waived off PI flag in the endzone right in front of me to end the game. I was so mad and ready for anyone to say a derogatory remark to me so I had a reason to start swinging. Every Auburn fan was extremely classy, said nothing but nice complimentary things, and were greatful that they came away with a lucky arse win that day. It pissed me off more because they were so damned nice. Eventhough I hated the outcome of that game and the damned refs, that was one of the best road game experiences I had. I'm gonna miss the LSU/Auburn annual games. Those were always some of the best games of the year.

They fall down the draft board but still get drafted. Instead of spouting out bs go check the drafts and see that all the later rounds like the 6th and 7th are all seniors that wouldve stayed in college. You are doing what libtards do and spouting out random non sense like they are facts that aren't actually anywhere near true.

I think college athletics should treat the NFL draft like the baseball and basketball drafts. If you don't get drafted or sign a guaranteed contract with a signing bonus, you should have the ability to go back to school and finish your eligibility. Baseball players use it for leverage in contract negotiations, undrafted basketball players are allowed back in school. Football should be the same way.
