I know there was drama regarding their future either in the SEC or big 10 this summer because of them potentially leaving the ACC
fast forward to december and the FSU administration surely hates our league now
is the potential of adding them dead?

I thought they would want to come even more so now. I’m not sure they have or will get an invite.

Why? The committee did it, not our league.

Yeah I don’t know why they’d hate the SEC.

I also saw Finebaum was apparently floating the theory that NC State’s AD was on the playoff committee and purposely tanked discussions so FSU wouldn’t get in the playoff. Somehow the logic on this was getting FSU to stay in the ACC…

Why would I be incentivized to stay in a conference that can’t make it to the playoff? Sometimes I feel like I’m taking crazy pills with some of these logic trains people go down.

It's all about TV money. Everything else is just conversation. They will jump to either the SEC or the Big Ten when the time is right. The ACC is on borrowed time.

It's pretty much common knowledge that if Georgia had won FSU would still be out. They had to show something vs. Louisville. What they showed is they are rather anemic on one side of the ball. Louisville, while having 10 wins, was not good at all.

Agree 100%. The committee showed that they believed both Alabama and Texas were better than FSU. If Ga wins, Texas is still better than FSU in the eyes of the committee.

FSU had their chance when SEC expanded first time and would have been in over Ark or USC
Looking back that was a serious miscalculation on their part

They're going somewhere. That was already true before the CFP decision, and with NC State's AD being the chair, it's got to be truer now than ever.

I think we're likely to end up with 4 teams over here from the ACC. I don't want to expand again, didn't want to expand this time, but it feels inevitable.

The SEC isn't going to want the Big 10 to expand into its footprint with FSU and Clemson. I think we're going to end up with them and 2 schools from North Carolina and Virginia. I'm not certain that, with the expansion to the west coast, whether the Big 10 would expand so far south, but it might.

SEC is not a charity conference. FSU adds nothing to the bottom line they only dilute the payout money.

The BIG might take them if they were better academically, but I think they are stuck for the time being.

Even if they hated the SEC - which as has been pointed out, makes no sense - memories are short and conferences change in a hurry.

All that matters is $.

This makes sense to me given that FSU shat all over the rest of the ACC publicly earlier this year, crying about how they deserved unequal revenue sharing, implying that they were going to take their ball and go home if they didn't get it.

FSU made a lot of enemies and those chickens came home to roost. I have zero sympathy for them.

I asked a pretty girl to go out with me in high school and she declined.

Did not ask her out again when she got her feelings hurt because she was not allowed to sit with the cool kids at lunch.

She had her chance.....

You can get a really good measure of a person when you see how they react when things don't go their way. I wouldn't hire someone who acted a fool at a real or perceived slight. I'm sure Sankey was paying attention at how FSU has reacted.
