I dont think anyone cares if UT goes independent or not. Good luck trying to find teams to schedule. As with ND they play so many ACC games and have long agreements already in place with teams.
IF you go independent you will have to partially align with a FB conference to get enough games in.

I think Finebaum is correct regarding what he said. If Texas and Okla want out, and I absolutely think they do, if the SEC did not take them I believe the big 10 would scarf them both up because of what their football programs bring to the table.
The big 10 hates to admit it but they are playing second fiddle to the SEC, sometimes a distant second fiddle in relevance. To open up the state of Texas for more big 10 recruiting does no favors for the SEC.
