there is a reason he openly admits regretting leaving college for the pros.

Worked out for the best. LSU culture of French blood quitters would have hampered his total numbers, IMHO. Miami experiment was the best thing to ever happen to the Saban Family. Roll Tide, baw.

Thats GOOFY, Saban was better suited for the NFL post 2012-13 when the stupid refs started running the ball back the line like idiots, not allowing subs. The NFL walks the ball back to the spot, thus Saban and his defense can call the plays and get in subs instead of playing vanilla base defense all the time.

Did you know that the Cleveland Browns Defense he was over as the DC in the early 90s under Bill Belichick was the all time statistical leader for any on e year? I doubt thats changed because defenses are not aa good as they were 30 years ago now.

The reason Bama was so good on defense from 2008 to 2012 was they were allowed to sub and call plays, until the Refs ruined the game by running the ball back to the spot like idiots

But to all the LSU people who think he’d have won title after title here - I disagree with that as well. Alabama would have eventually rebounded with someone, turning on the Bama recruit machine. Let’s think of Saban coaching the teams that Les had… maybe even a few better players at some positions. And look, I obviously love LSU. But it’s not apples to apples between these schools.

Meh, Saban would've probably won the same amount or maybe more titles at LSU simply due to the fact that he would've had viable opportunities in 05, 06, and 07.

If he gets that train rolling, there's nothing to keep it from happening. Ms Terry even said in a documentary that the Sabans believe they could've had just as much success at LSU as they did at Bama.

Like how Kelly isn’t cut out for SEC football? Agreed.

trolling can be fun if you are not "cut out" for much else.

Nick always tried to put the blame on the team's doctors for flunking Brees' physical. He said that the doctors had last say. Anyone who knows Saban knows Saban makes every decision re his programs.

Am I wrong?

You talking about the butterfly affect of Miami not taking Brees being the reason Saban went back to college and took Alabama on this run? I heard that on XM the other day too.
