I don't get the fascination with UGA

What gives them so much hype? Why are they being picked to finish 1st in the East? I figure UF would have a better chance than UGA to win. OL injuries, new defense if I'm not mistaken, and god only knows at RB?
I just don't understand. Am I just sorely mistaken about UGA?

They have a very favorable schedule. If Garcia comes back and plays like he has, then USC should be favorites. But USC has to play @ UGA, USC has a tougher schedule overall, and your QB situation is unclear right now whereas UGA has the best QB in the SEC going into the season.

Show me where I said we would win the East. I believe that it will come down to the UF/SC game though. Not the UGA/UF or SC/UGA game.

If Garcia comes back USC is my pick for the East again. UGA because of stability in the sense much of the staff is the same, second year under the DC. UF new DC new HC, new OC, new offensive philosophy as well as QB is not settled and UGA has one of the best QBs in the SEC talent wise.

Is that guy's hand is massive, or is it just a really tiny magazine?
ETA: or it's some kind of flyer (which would reduce its "swag level" considerably)

Show me where I said that you said that.
Anyway, my point is that at this point UGA has the easiest path to the East Championship, and of course that means they might be in the running for a national championship if they're able to beat the West Champion (unlikely, but it's just one game).
Georgia doesn't have to play Arkansas, LSU, or Bama during the season, and they get their biggest threat in the East, USC, at home.

Guess I got defensive because this could easily turn into a pissing match between SC and UGA and that wasn't my intention.

new defense if I'm not mistaken
what year is this?
We have the best QB in the conference, the best ST in the conference, and our defense should be fantastic. For as bad as we were last year, we were in every single game in the 4th quarter, and in every game but 1 (auburn) it was LATE in the 4th before the game was decided. And THAT was with a new QB, new defense, and 2 fumbling RBs.
Not only will our defense be much better, we should get better production from the RB spot as well. Not to mention we have one of the easiest schedules we've ever had and have the best draw from the west you could hope for (@OM, MSU, AU).

It's a flyer I found on my car earlier.
It's a invite to his party tonight
I think I need to see the video shoot of " White Girl Do Your Dance"

uga fans are delusional about their football program.
In the past twenty + years in Atlanta, I've been amazed at their arrogance. People accuse Bama of arrogance. At least we have the historical stats to back it up

Aaron Murray is the best qb in the SEC.
Their defense ranked 23rd in scoring while not having a true NG in the first year of the 3-4

I thought I heard UGA changed defensive schemes recently?

From who? The next "Herschel Walker" we've been waiting on?
The only favorable thing you have is schedule. Everything else is question marks.

Easy schedule, a much improved D, and most importantly the best QB in the SEC by far. Also their coach is a really nice guy.

This has a ton of relevancy.

It was sarcasm. I actually think the media gives Richt way too much credit for his "nice guy" image. I personally view the Florida game excessive celebration incident as the least classy on field incident an SEC coach has created in the last 20 years.

Going for UGA - Best QB in the conference, what should be a very stout defense, the best ST in the conference by a big margin, and the easiest SEC schedule of all time = UGA is in good shape.
Not going for UGA - Bobo is their OC. Their RB situation is a ???, My daughter's kiddie pool is deeper than their OL, they lost their two best WRs, lost their best defensive player, Richt has been so-so for a couple of years now, They still have to play UF, they've been bad with turnovers since 2008.
I say it's a wash, and UGA goes about 9-3, an only wins the east if UF is worse than 9-3 and SC loses in Athens.
