I'm looking at trying to start up a small mobile car detailing business as a way to bring in some extra income. I already have a sponsorship with a detailing product company(Smart wax) that takes care of all the shampoos/polishes/waxes/etc and some basic tools for the job. I know I'll need a big water tank for the pressure washer, insurance, and a apply for a business license with my local county. I'll need to purchase a truck or van. My question to you guys is how long was the process and how much was the total start up cost for you. Have you found it worth it as a secondary income? What are some business insurance companies I should look at. I have a decent following base and have been doing some minor detailing already so client base isn't a huge concern.
