I could be wrong, but I think there is virtually no chance LSU gets booted from the SEC.

I think that talk of expelling LSU from the SEC is pure bluster from Sankey and the other SEC presidents to try to put their foot down. LSU and the SEC both have way too much to lose by kicking them from the league.
As much as LSU fans would not want to admit in these ramped up emotional times, being kicked out of the league would do unbelievable damage to them, but also it would do unbelievable damage to the SEC to kick LSU out of the SEC. LSU, along with the other nine original members, is synonymous with the league. The SEC would not feel like the SEC without LSU, as it wouldn’t without Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State, etc. In a sport as tied to tradition and heritage as college football, the SEC has a lot of branding damage potential from such a drastic move.
Both sides know it is mutually assured destruction, but like a nuclear standoff, neither side wants to be the one who blinks first and loses the conflict.

If it was that simple, the SEC would’ve backed off once we didn’t roster the players.
Something else is going on.
They are playing on the Lane angle bc thats what the masses can understand.

Unless Stankey has some extraordinary evidence of something serious, his arse needs to booted. None of us should take railroading of a fellow conference member lightly.

It’s hilarious watching LSU fans bitch about a Chambliss lawsuit then turn around and say they will sue the SEC into oblivion. Complete hypocrites.
Also….theres nothing you could possibly sue for. Sankey and the conference office aren’t the ones that would potentially vote you off. It’s up to the rest of the conference members. Are you going to sue every other SEC school because your feelings got hurt? This is by the book.

LSU is gone. Not today, not this year, but they are gone. You dont stay in a club that sues you. You don't stay in a club that is 15-1 against you.

LSU didn’t roster the players, maintained it was going to follow league rules, and now it’s filling its roster to 105 so it can’t add the two “professional” players.
Sankey is the one who is continuing to escalate when LSU has de-escalated twice.

It’s the whole thing about allegations of encouraging NFL players to sue to go back. That’s the trigger here. Even though the NFL has been publicly quiet about this, I am certain they have been quite clear to the SEC office about how this might constitute a tampering claim leading to potential litigation.

Neither of those dudes played a regular season game nor did they make a 53 man roster.
This would equate to taking away a year of eligibility to a guy that played in a spring game and then got cut.

It isn’t how I would define what an NFL player is. It’s how the NFL would define it.
How can one not see that the NFL has a vested interest in all of this. It’s their supply chain that is being threatened and genuinely disrupted with everything that has been occcuring. Not just recently, but from the introduction of NIL.

It’s immaterial at this point, the SEC is fricked. We are going to super conference model asap anyway.
