I think this game will go alot like the game with Miss. St. went. For the most part, the better team usually ends up winning this game, like they're supposed to if you look back at who's been favored and who's won.

I look for Auburn to try to run and do some option, and I think we'll be in pretty good shape to stop that. The passing game has been what has hampered and hurt us this year, and Auburn still doesn't really have much in that department.

I may eat some crow, but I think by the fourth quarter, we're taking control, much like yesterdays game. One can hope anyways.

This is true. AU does however have talent and we are improving weekly now that our offense has a direction and Kodi is getting more confident.

I do not see us running much if any option. It never worked all year and I do not think we ran but one or two option plays against UGA. I think we see a traditional passing game with some qb draws and our regular mix of running up the middle or off tackle to the short side of the field.

If this happens, I think it will play to our strength and Rolando and Donte will have big days.

i have noticed au improving lately and kodi is looking better. he still makes mistakes here and there but you can see him getting more comfortable out there.

also au has talent. it was weird to me that yall were sucking that bad for that long.

We play so much man to man that a scrambling QB gives us trouble sometimes. That's the first thing I thought of when Kodi was running down the field yesterday on AU's last drive.

Yeah, I would bet yall will stack the box like everyone has during the past two years against us unless we establish a consistent passing game. The only way Kodi's mobility will make much of a difference is if he starts hitting passes and forces Alabama to drop more men in coverage. I don't see designed quarterback draws or option (and I think tigernmiami is right you wont see much option) being very effective against bamas defense. However if Kodi can hit some passes then I could see some scrambling lanes opening up...but that is a big if.

I wish the game was this Saturday

I am sure Bama would rather play it this Sat. as well (to have two weeks to get ready for the SECCG)

Thanks SEC AD's for that rule passed two years ago making all teams play a game the weekend after T-giving

someone mentioned saban having 2 weeks to get ready and how auburn will get plastered. I seem to remember that when saban had an off week while coaching at lsu he lost a lot of the following games. Look it up. He ain't god and will drop games he suppose to win. Lotta luck this year.

The way I see it...the more time Kodi has to get more reps and work on fundamentals the better. Unless I am mistaken we also have more guys that are banged up than Alabama so we need an off week.

I'm excited about the Iron Bowl. I loved it last year when Auburn sang the Rammer Jammer song! Can't wait to hear it again.

this is true. i was actually going to respond to that post myself but you beat me to it. i think his personality tends to rub off on the team when they have a two week break and they come out uptight and feeling the pressure to win. little too long to think about it

We will have the band practicing next week for their yearly performance.

We have a surprise too.

This year when our band strikes it up, the AU fans will start with "Hey Gumps! Hey Gumps!!" - you know the rest...

Watching Bama lose to Auburn for the 7th straight year might be fun, but wouldn't that hurt the SEC chance of getting into the BCS NC?

I think it will be close and Auburn will be inside the 25 with a chance to win and fail again. Bama by 4

He has talked about this before. He says the same thing you say. He is too intense and basically psyches the team into playing scared.

I believe this is one reason he has gone to letting other people do the talking.

If it were any other game I'd be worried. We'll be ready.

Thankfully, we won't be hearing this unless you end it by saying

hey gumps, hey gumps
YOU JUST BEAT THE HELL OUT OF US.
