Hypothetical: Saban retires - Dabo to Bama - Heupel to Clemson

Saban very well could retire.
I don't want Dabo, but the lure would be strong. His ego would demand he take the gig.
Clemson's brand, distasteful as it is, is far better than Tennessee's. Clemson has more money and an easier path. Plus, Heupel already looks like a Clemson fan (to be fair, he looks Tennessee, too.)

Dabo is not leaving Clemson. You all need to forget about it. Who wants to follow the greatest CFB coach of all time anyway?

I think OU will be going after HP hard. If they were in the market for a coach at this moment, you'd have to bet that they'd be throwing a bag at JH

Clemson doesn't have a better brand than UTK. Lived in both states, and Clemson doesn't have nearly the clout, support, or money that UTK does.

Tennessee is a bigger program and brand than Clemson. There's nothing in Clemson Heuphel couldn't have in Knoxville. That would be a step down for him.

Your absolutely correct. BOB is the best Bama is going to do after Saban. Nobody wants to put up with that fan base after Saban. They are dreaming if they think they are going to do better. They will go back to how it was in the years before Saban playing second fiddle to Auburn. Maybe competing for the West every 10 years.

Dabo is not coming to Alabama, Heupel is never leaving Tennessee unless fired and Smart is staying at GA until fired. Damn, is this really what one loss does to you guys?
