You legit just painted the picture of Bama beating Georgia but having an upset by Texas months ago. Why should Texas (spit) suffer?

You just said GA and Bama are better than Texas but you put Texas in due to a week 2 win. That goes against everything that the committee was designed to do, get the 4 best teams.
If GA and Bama are better than Texas, either one of them should go in above Texas. Unfortunately, the committee is all about the most deserving and inclusion now.
The problem is Alabama's loss IS to Texas. So if they are the final 2 teams for a 4th spot, then the week 2 win Texas owns is just as good as if it were in week 12. The win is a win. That's an apples to apples comparison.

It is an interesting argument, but UGA will win anyway.

The mission of the CFP committee is to find the 4 best teams. That does include eye test. If anyone believes Texas is better than GA, raise your hand.
Because by using H2H as the most important deciding factor, if Alabama beats GA, you have to put Texas in above GA.
It’s stupid logic.

If Alabama beats Georgia, Georgia won't go unless there are several big upsets. Really big upsets.

I should say that I think Alabama is better than Texas right now, and should be picked if they beat UGA, but I would bet because of SEC fatigue the committee would pick Texas.

It's stupid to use that logic because Georgia and Texas won't have a head to head to use as a deciding factor. Has anyone said it's the most important deciding factor in all situations? Or is it that people are using it specifically for Bama vs Texas?

Honestly . Georgia is is the best team. GT stands in the way, we take over that stadium every time we play. UGA is kicking the shite out of who is front of them. And if that includes your team, well, sorry

Do I think Texas is the better team than Bama? No. Pick them over Bama? Yes. Solely based on head to head earlier in the year?
Georgia is just Georgia. As good as they come. But I would not put them in as a 1 loss non-conference champion.
Pains me to say it because it is not fair (and I cannot stand them). My choice would be Texas in this scenario.

I will say it is extremely unlikely that the loser of the SEC championship gets in this year. Too many top teams outside of the SEC.
It's possible if UGA loses the SECCG, but it would require some stuff to happen.
UGA will be the top 1-loss non-conference champion in that scenario. But for it to matter the following would need to happen:
1 - Texas to lose Big 12 championship. Not really an impossibility, but Texas will be favored to win.
2 - Louisville to lose to UK then beat FSU OR Oregon to lose to Oregon State then beat Washington OR Iowa to win the Big 10.
#2 doesn't feel particularly likely. But that would be the scenario where a 1-loss non-champ would get in, and it would be likely UGA would be the top ranked 1-loss non-champ.
But I think UGA wins the SECCG so it doesn't matter.

Texas's has the 9th hardest schedule with a H2H against Alabama in Alabama, Alabama has the 28th hardest, and Georgia has the 65th hardest.
Yes, Texas gets in against both 1 of those hypothetical one loss teams

I think conf championships are gonna rule the day with all conferences still in play.
Bama will leap Texas if they beat uga.
If Louisville beats fsu then I think the acc is eliminated.
A one loss Oregon will get in.
A one loss uga is gonna be in bad shape and taking OU off the schedule would be costly for a one loss uga

That's what I said. No defending that loss. Should not have happened.

Though I truly believe if Bama and Texas played this Saturday, the outcome has high probability of being in Bama’s favor. However, they are not. Texas flat out whipped Bama in September. When a team completely dominates the 4th quarter like Texas did, that in my opinion signifies you are the better team. Their wins lately are not inspiring, but they WON. That tells me the Horns are tough and winners.
Finally, as much as I’d like to beat Georgia, the dogs are solid and I think they will win. I hope not.
Can’t wait for the 12 team playoff.

Tough one.
You could argue that in that scenario Texas has the best win.
Bama would have beaten GA and ended their streak, but Texas would have beaten that same Bama team.
The choice is go with the “eye test” or go with what actually happened on the field.
I go with what actually happened on the field and (as much as I don’t like it) pick Texas.
Sure you can argue that Texas wouldn’t beat Bama today but it’s just an argument. When they actually played Texas won.
In this scenario, I’d rank them:
Texas
Bama
Georgia
