Normally, the UGA football team would depart Athens for ATL airport to board a Delta flight for the short trip over to Birmingham on Friday and then bus to Tuscaloosa, but the storm could possibly change timelines, depending upon how fast this storm comes through Georgia. They may still depart on Friday, but at a delayed departure time, dunno.

The storm shouldn't affect the playing of the game at all, however.

The UGA Redcoat Band will only be taking a 75-member pep band to the game and they'll depart Athens on Saturday morning of the game.

Sorry to hear, I hope the Georgia football team is able to recover from this hardship.

Yesterday, Florida announced they have canceled their bye week out of precaution.

If there is a wild-card 'energy-mo' card, the closer this game gets it feel like its all on Bama's side.

More of a Tropical storm when it hits here, but yeah we do.

There is talk of this storm becoming a Cat 4. This, along with a Covid spike in Tuscaloosa, has caused A&M to give serious consideration to forfeiting the UGA/Bama game this Saturday.

You know we fly out of Athens now right?

I'm sure there are SOME trips out of Hartsfield but once richt left we actually got the 21st century ability to use Ben Epps.

It's a 35 minute flight. They get to stay in their own beds and just fly out Saturday morning. Probably helps Georgia

driving to ATL, flying to Birmingham, then driving to Tuscaloosa would take just as long or even longer than just driving the 4-5hrs
