He had one good season with a recruiting class he cheated his arse off to get, and HE DID NOT EVEN WIN THE WEST. We just fired the clean, better version of Hugh. No thanks.

Think of all the coaches who have turned us down the last decade and then the assclowns who didn’t really want to be here but couldn’t turn down the money.
Meanwhile, a proven winner who whipped Saban’s multiple times at a school without anything close to the resources he would have at VOLS is literally sitting right there for the taking and has his mouthpiece Bruce Feldman shoehorning his interest in Tennessee into every article, yet we are going to double down on this lame duck bald headed gump (who is ready to gtfo) in year 4 hoping a bunch of staff changes actually fixes things lmfao

I still can’t understand their aversion to Lane Kiffin. Their 247 mod keeps saying they won’t consider him due to baggage he comes with but this is the same school that hired Bruce Pearl so that excuse really doesn’t fly on its face.

Auburn and Freeze are made for each other. From the fake religiosity and family values to the blatant and yet highly committed cheating, they could not find a better fit.
If I were an Auburn fan, I'd be demanding we ride with Freeze for the next 3-4 years and take whatever fallout comes from it.

I had a front row seat to most of it. I was in undergrad 2010-14 and I am back now for grad school. Its been fun to watch. Almost every major decision made by the UTAD regarding football in the last 15 years has been proven to be wrong in hindsight. They took a top 10 overall, 2nd In the SEC program and destroyed it. In 2001, a bad season was 11-2. In 2020, the coach gets another year after going 3-7. They have not only managed to reduce expectations, but also instilled an unprecedented sense of hopelessness and apathy. As soon as UGA wins a championship, which will be as soon as Saban retires, 1998 becomes the new 1980.

No, it's not. It's right on the money.
Gus was Freeze's only friend among SEC coaches, and Freeze was Gus's only friend. They got together and discussed offense. They both ran the same 6-8 high school plays over and over again. One preceded the other as head coach at Arkansas State. They're both weird AF and borderline cultish.
Freeze recruits better than Gus so that would be the only benefit to hiring him, but recruiting isn't the problem at Auburn.
