Lots of gay guys date women, so that doesn't mean anything.

Most of the gay frat boys I knew of in college would take their (female) dates out for the evening and then rendezvouz elsewhere after taking their dates back home.

It's not just marriage they oppose; it is laws against employment discrimination, etc.

Most of them even opposed the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"--which was nothing more than a bill to prevent someone being forced out of the military just for being gay, even if they had years and years of exemplary service under their belts.

I am not saying that all Fundamentalists are this extreme, but a lot of them are and I don't believe it has anything to do with genuine religious belief--it is just a cover for darker motives.....

Agree. Apparently every female athlete wants to sleep with Denzel.

The idea that an all-knowing, all-powerful being who likely spends his time managing an expanding universe and creating black holes gives two fricks about where your dick goes is ridiculous to me.

I don't keep up with politics as well as I should until elections come around and research is required. I can't really discuss employment discrimination stances and similar topics. However, I'd say anti-gay stances such as that stem from political maneuvering or just being a dick, not religious beliefs.

I think people should be allowed to say negative tjings about homosexuals also, if that is their belief.

But I bet the media would be against it.

so you should be able to say whatever you want but others can't say what they want about your dumbass opinions?

For those of you who consider yourselves "Christians" and use that as a reason (excuse) for your homophobia, be advised that Hugh Freeze is as deeply religious a man as you ever will find, but obviously he understands either a) that homophobia is not the way of a true Christian, only a phony one, and/or b) whatever his personal religious beliefs, it is his professional duty not to let them effect how he treats any of his players.

I am a Christian--you would know as much within minutes of meeting me. It's who I am. I'm not ashamed of my faith, and I want others to know who I am, based on the life I choose to lead.

My belief system is the reason you'll never find me on this or any other message board---tearing down others and speaking disrespectfully of another human being. "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

The life I live for my Father includes intentional forgiveness, gratitude, and compassion. Each day when I pray, I ask my Heavenly Father to know that my heart was true throughout the day--which is why I'll never get drawn into an argument w RebelGator. I've therefore chosen to avoid harmful words. Hell, I have too many other sins to talk about with my Father, without bringing tSECr into the mix!

All of this mumbo jumbo of mine means one thing alone: I am a child of the one true King. So are homosexual people. And prisoners. And lost souls. My God asks me to love & forgive. So that's my only course of action w re: to homosexual behavior. It flat-out isn't my business.

Sins are sins. God doesn't rank-order them; He forgives. That blood that soaked the cross was for each of us--not for only the "best behaved" sinners amongst us.

In Texas, we live & let live, as long as you look after your neighbor and help him trim down a low tree branch and/or jump his truck on a frigid 5:30 am morning. Apart from that, couldn't care less about what gets my neighbor's juices flowin.

I'm not saying you have to agree with me. I am simply presenting a viewpoint. No one has been insulted or put down for their stance or lifestyle. Thanks for oversimplifying my beliefs though. Most things sound stupid when you do that to them. Like I said though, this is not a debate on religion or its correctness, just an unfair accusation of intolerance.

My buddy was in the FedEx Center as a tutor and said every time Denzel came in he talked to almost every single girl and was able to hold a conversation with 4-5 at any given time. He said he would have them laughing and it just drew them to him.

It's like he's got a woman magnet or something. It's absurd.

I can remember seeing he and Bo in the Grove taking pictures with large packs of girls. Bo seemed so awkward and I'm pretty sure Denzel got at least two numbers per 4 girls.

I wasn't really replying to you, just happened to be the reply button I kicked. Was more of a general statement.

The first issue is if you believe in the all-knowing, all powerful Being (I do), and then if you decide He does exist, maybe think about reading what He thinks. There's a book about it.

Make no mistake, it's not the person, He loves all. It's our behaviors that grieves Him. However, He got out of the smiting business a couple thousand years ago.

That does not mean that are no consequences to wrong behavior, it usually brings its own consequences, just as constantly speeding will eventually get you a ticket.

Oh, and He made the perfect receptacle, one that is much more preferable to most folks.

and you don't see how that's different? Just for the record, that was the same argument jim from crestwood made on finebaum yesterday...keeping good company.

Yes I see how it is different, but at the same if gay people want to be accepted just as heterosexual people then quit making a huge deal out of it. If that is your lifestyle, live it. Don't make a big deal out of it and other won't feel then need to either.
