It is usually players who provide bulletin board material. Rarely is it the head coach. But Hugh has proven before he is different.

Freeze beat the spread in 5 of the 6 meetings against a Nick Saban, by an average of almost a TD each time.

Imagine what he’ll be able to do once he gets the talent level back up to where it should be.
what was the spread against new mexico state?

In three of his six seasons in the SEC, he lost the game following the Alabama game. Last year he lost the game before and after.

There is no doubt he can get his teams up to play Alabama. But then they lose focus and they crash. That is all on the head coach. He has done it his whole career. I doubt he can change.

an inexcusable decision.

So, very wrong
So you’re saying he “should” have won those games?

You hired Gus Malzahn if he was a pedophile. Auburn did all that just for a retread hire. Freeze beat Saban a couple of times a decade ago, better give him a huge contract. Oh and now that everyone can legally drop bags, there goes another advantage. He'll be gone in two years.

Find ways to lose games to teams like Arkansas and State like usual I'd guess.
and vanderbilt. coach beaver was 2-3 against some awful arkansas teams at ole miss, and 3-2 against vanderbilt. i can see why auburn was so eager to get the guy

Meh, using that same logic Bama should have never lost the game in 2015, but had those 5 turnovers. If they just had 3 turnovers then they win the game.
That’s not how it works Hugh.

There it is! Was waiting on the reverse bama spin!

Losing a game to a team that is clearly just better does not hurt as badly as losing a game you know you should have won. Hugh Freeze is a master at it.

I suggest you beat the rush and buy a few extra pillows now so you have them on hand to cry into at night later this season.

It's nice to know that even though UA is improving as an institution, they're still creating the same unhinged fans

Hugh Freeze made Saban quit.. Saban saw the writing on the wall & got the hell outta town.

No way Saban could handle losing 3 or more games a season, the pressure would cause him to have a coronary. He built that monster, and the pressure had already been building since the USF game.

Are you suggesting beating a coach inferior to the GOAT is going to be harder?

Bama had Saban, Smart, Kiffin, and Napier on that staff in 2015.

Jumping over a 100ft wall is much harder than jumping over a 10ft wall.

But it doesn't really matter how high the 2 walls are when you can't clear a 5 ft wall.
