I think this will be an interesting rivalry. They both were in the NAIA at the same time; Freeze with Lambuth and DeBoer with Sioux Falls. They both made the playoffs. Freeze recommended DeBoer to Tom Allen at Indiana when Kalen was OC at Eastern Michigan.

Do you think they have talked since DeBoer has got to Tuscaloosa?

Not sure about that. Apparently Freeze talks to Saban weekly however.

I knew about Saban and Freeze but I had no idea they were friends from before or knew each other.

Saban can be a bad judge of character and trusted people too much sometimes.

I think after Freeze got cut loose from Ole Miss. Saban wanted him at the "Saban Coaching Rehab Clinic". Sort of follow the process that Sark did. Be an analyst and then the OC. Because of the Show Cause against him, I think it was the SEC that kept Saban from hiring him. That was the rumor at the time. Through that, I think they formed a relationship.

I think NS was going to bring him on staff and either the NCAA or the SEC said to hold off.

Saban is a white liberal so he likely doesn’t have many non soy boy friends.

Actually, they're pretty good friends these last few years. He credits Saban with helping him get his career back. That and giving up the whoring. We joke but it's a good thing when a man comes back to Christ.

That is the proof of why he has little wisdom.

I don't have an issue with Freeze getting some side action. I do have one with him using religion as a prop.

I can understand that. It's not so much the hookers as it is really lying and covering up to your wife. And trying to act righteous when you know you're not is even worse than all that.

He is a man with major character issues. A perfect fit for AU.

So what do you do, don't give the man a second chance? From a personal standpoint, while I hope he loses all Iron Bowls, I am glad that Auburn is giving him another chance.

Kinda like drunk staffers plowing into lightpoles and killing players fits perfectly at UGA.
