Nothing wrong with Arkansas.
One thing I do know is Arkansas is surrounded by all fronts. Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. That is brutal.

Yeah, Texas Tech and Baylor were in the same conference as you. Meanwhile, Georgia State has never been in the same conference as UGA and Emory doesn’t have a football team. You’re comparison doesn’t make sense.
Sure, because the state of Georgia doesn't have a million bazillion Div I football teams. The point is Baylor and Tech do not matter to Texas fans. No rivalry. We always felt like the other SWC teams were pretty much beneath us, except for Arkansas for a time. Shoot, we feel like the SEC teams are beneath us for the most part. It's a big reason we're always so hated. We make a good heel.
Heck, Nebraska fans hate us but we've never considered them a rival. We pwned them in the Big 12. Their fans are convinced Texas was a key source to their downfall. We don't really think about them other than to laugh at all the ways we managed to beat them.

Arkansas is basically a punching bag for bigger SEC programs. Nothing more than a circled win most for most other teams. Neat Mascot, Neat uniforms, neat stadium but kinda small. I'd say pretty valuable b/c they aren't the bottom of the SEC like Vandy or Miss St . The NWA area and Fayetteville specifically is very nice though. Nice road trip.

At least Arkansas has class, unlike our Neighbors in the swamp LSU that’s pure bourbon street trash.

Columbia South Carolina is one of the biggest shite holes in the entire country. Obviously you have not been to northwest Arkansas. Fayetteville and Bentonville are both very nice towns, Fayetteville is the closest to Athens I’ve seen in the country. There is big money up there with Walmart and JB Hunt both headquartered there. There is also no crime, mountains, lakes, and nice real estate. NW Arkansas is nothing like the eastern part of the state. Their rival was, and now renewed, is Texas. Any true college football fan knows that. Plus they have a solid rivalry with LSU.
South Carolina is 10x more desirable of a state than Georgia. Let's just be honest here. You have the city of Atlanta. Enough said about that shithole.

So you're saying Missouri is one of the least attractive border states?

I don't understand. Is it better for schools that they're bordered by the Gulf of America? Or Texas is bordered by Mexico? How is that brutal?

Have you not been paying attention that Arkansas hasn't been able to recruit some of the better players due to being out recruited by those other teams that boarder Arkansas? I am also talking about football. Arkansas is getting squeezed.

Arkansas was extremely valuable to LSU in June. In fact, we could not have asked for a better team player than Arkansas.

This is a dumb thread and you should feel bad.
Arkansas is top half of the SEC if you consider all sports. Not just Track either. Arkansas is better than Georgia when it comes to Baseball, Softball, Soccer and Basketball A few of the other sports as well.
Football is in a bad spot right now but we will find a way out of it.
I understand you are probably pretty young and have no knowledge of football history but before Petrino wrecked his bike Arkansas was a pretty good program.
1950-2010
I know this is cherry picking but in the 60s-70s-80s Arkansas was better than Georgia. They only played 3 times but Arkansas beat Georgia in the Sugarbowl and the Cotton Bowl with Georgia beating the Hogs in the Liberty bowl.

You really trying to use a non-revenue sport like softball to flex? That’s pathetic. If Arkansas is so great at baseball, how come UGA has more nattys? If Arkansas has such a great football history, tell me how many times you have finished ranked #1 in the AP poll? Oh wait, you haven’t. Well then tell me how many SEC Championships you have won in football. Oh wait, you haven’t.

Don't get your panties bunched. What I typed was true and you can choose to ignore it and spout your own reality or read it and educate yourself Braxtynn.

Each school has their thing and a Georgia fan getting into a pissing match with an Arkansas fan over who has the better baseball program is comical. We can discuss football if you'd like and if so, of course Georgia has a much better program and it's not even debatable but baseball? I think you should sit down on this one.

We have a natty though and they don’t. What’s the point for Arkansas if you never finish #1?
Posted on 8/4/25 at 9:16 am to Uga Alum
Arkansas’ overall sports program is a way better than UGA’s. And yea we have sucked at football for a bit now.
UGA can’t even be good at basketball with a hot bed of talent an hour away.

Missouri has brought more to the SEC than any single other expansion school, A&M, USCe, Arky, etc... Be thankful we accepted and enjoy the cash we stuff into your pockets.
Right? We knew the folks in this conference weren't the brightest and have a hard time comprehending the influx in cash flow. Slive was a genius, and did this conference a huge favor by convincing us to join it.
As for the original question Arkansas brings nothing to the table. They just happen to be in a geographic position not a cash flow position. Replace them with another Texas school or Oklahoma State. They belong in the Sun Belt with their true rival Arkansas State.

I have always thought Vandy did not fit. They should be in the Ivy League.
