A lot of sisters would get beaten.

Considering the Vegas line of a 15 pt line the statitical odds are around 15% , or about 1/7. I've had worse bad beats. Having said that I can't remember Saban ever losing a game with that big a favorite since his first year (2007) vs ULM.

Nope, no it's not. Doug Johnson was replacing Wuerrfell, Ike Hilliard and Ridell Anthony were gone. This may be Saban's best team he's ever put together. It's not even remotely the same. A more similar comparison would be the 95 or 96 LSU Florida games.
Oh, I expect LSU to play well early, keeping it close, emotion of favorite son Saban coming back, blah blah but you're not playing Kirby Smart. Saban is a whole different animal. You're not playing a rebuilding Florida team, you're playing an well established, more talented, seasoned, Bama team.

This is a situation where LSU can't lose.

I'll say it again. This is a situation where LSU can't lose.
There's one Bama fan I've seen on this board that says he thinks LSU is a solid enough team to have a 40% chance of beating Bama. Every other Bama fan I've seen has mocked LSU, saying they don't have a prayer in the world. Bama's has Saban v. O for LSU. Bama has Tua v. Burrow. It's the greatest college football coach ever versus a shrimp boat captain, the greatest college QB ever versus a "meh" QB.
History means nothing, LSU is a "bad" football team that is trying to rely on "emotion".
So, in your opinion, is LSU an elite team, deserving of a no. 3 ranking and a 40% chance of beating Bama, or are we a "weak" team, reliant on "emotion" with no shot at beating Bama?
LSU can't lose in this situation. If it wins, I will savor the victory for a long time. If it loses, LSU just picks itself up after the loss, runs the table, plays in a NY6 bowl and exceeds expectations. I really don't care what Bama does after the game, win or lose.

Considering everyone in the country outside of Alabama is rooting for LSU, an upset would be pretty amazing for college football.

Ironically, it's a loser's mentality
I hope your team doesn't think like you do

For all the bravado on the board, LSU could win. The percentage is probably 10%, so it is unlikely. However, it is similar to the situation in 1997 when no. 1 Spurrier-coached Florida came to Baton Rouge as a heavy favorite (against a Dinardo-coached LSU team with a "meh" QB) and LSU won.
Uh hell no. That LSU team basically had Kevin Faulk. They did not have near the talent of this team. Not even close. This team is a lot closer to Bama talent-wise than people want to give them credit for in the media. Do not believe the hype machine.

I'm not sure what sort of point you are making about Wuerfell. His attempt at the NFL shows he was a product of Spurrier's system and not that gifted of a QB.
That's a tangent, though. LSU can't lose in this situation.

It's not a loser's mentality at all. It's called perspective and focus.
I'm hoping the Alabama players feel as insecure as you do, responding to my posts.

I agree with you. It's not a perfect comparison. LSU had just lost Cecil Collins for the season with an injury and no one was giving them a shot at beating no. 1, Spurrier-coached Florida.
Bama is deeper and better at QB, and probably both lines. The question is, will LSU be able to pass the ball? If they can and score a few TDs (which they haven't in a long time against Bama in a game), they have a shot especially if LSU benefits from a key turnover. That's a lot that needs to fall LSU's way but I think LSU has a better chance than most folks think.

There you go, being all insecure again. Man, I sure hope the Bama players feel the same way you do.

The length and detailed responses you took a lot of time to put into that post just so... well, it made my eyes bleed a little.
