Arkansas has zero access to Walmart money unless it deals with the arts, Sam Walton college of business or bike trails.

Realtree has given a shite ton to our athletics recently. Ashley furniture also has. And hey, 60k fans donating just $20 a month raises over $14 million per year before any rich dudes write checks.

Any guesses on how much they paid Spencer Sanders to be a backup? Dumb move on his part, everyone but him, knew he wasn't going to beat out Dart.

They have a good amount, but they are also purposely going portal heavy. I respect that they have a plan of attack and want to win now. I was all about building through recruiting classes, but after what happened to Texas A&M we all might have to reevaluate that stance. The best approach is probably doing both
With the tremendous cost of doing business right now in coaching salaries, administrative support staff, facility upgrades, etc. Schools don’t have a lot of patience with a coach that isn’t winning at a certain level or fails to meet expectations. Best to find the right balance asap and get to winning because there’s not much time to build from scratch an takes years to develop depth anymore.

Our portal class cost about half of Georgia’s high school class. The difference is Kirby and Nick have no reason to invest in one or two year guys who don’t know the culture. We can’t outspend LSU or UGA or Bama on high school talent. So we do what we can. But there seems to be some butthurt by LSU fans on this subject. Of course your run of the mill State College moron complaining about cheating when they lose. The portal balances the field a little. No need to get so pissed about it.

Pretty much every school in this conf has it...just depends on if the boosters are willing to fully invest. Ole Miss doesn't spend much when it comes to HS recruits so they aim their efforts for the portal.

Also Ole Miss is attractive because they are viewed as a contender with immediate PT available. Kiffin probably does a good job recruiting these kids as well. He's better in this arena.

Surprises me LSU isn't as much of a portal destination this year. Kelly has used it well for guys like Jayden Daniels and other spots but specifically this offseason it seems like they aren't really a player. A lot of holes to fill. I guess Kelly is committed to filling those needs through HS recruiting. Solid class but not a lot of true immediate difference makers.

ZERO chance UGA and Bama spent $30 million combined on HS NIL, let alone $30 million each.
