It's simple math...

Alabama has more money than Indiana and Arkansas.

End of math lesson.

Y’all act like Maryland is a good team.

They’ll have something in common with LSU soon: a postseason loss to Alabama.

Are you kidding? The Alabama fan base is massive and even more sidewalkers than ever due to the football program.

They will never compete with football. Indiana basketball is a religion and they want to win BAD. Big donars about to show up.

How would Bama fans react if Oats made more than Saban?

I would rather talk to someone who has knowledge of their program. You actually thought this was Nate Oates' first year at Bama.

There is no reason for him to go to Indiana when Bama will pay him just as much.

No. You will not pay him as much.

You're not that stupid.

As long as Saban doesn’t care, why would we?

Isn't Mark Cuban an Indiana donor?

Just asking because it was an issue for Arkansas many years ago.

You guys are ao desperate for Alabama to fail. Byrne already locked up Oats for at least 3-4 more years. He's already told his agent he isn't interested in leaving.

Gottfried made more than Shula, so it's happened before.

Well they tried to hire out of work Thad Matta today. But he failed a physical. So maybe that job ain’t what it seems.

Honestly, I'm happy for Alabama. Oats does scare me some, but it's a little early to call anyone desperate.

** Interesting to hear that Gottfried made more. I was genuinely curious about that.

Indiana would have to pay a buyout of $20 million before we get to what Alabama can and can not match salary wise.

Not near enough. Why would he go to a lower tier team in an overrated conference? And Alabama football brings in the $$ so they can afford to keep him.
