Yes.

When Jimbo got off to a 4-6 start this year, I was hitting up Alleva's inbox every day telling him we need to fire Coach O and hire Jimbo NOW before Aggy does.

You nailed it, OP.

He was 6-2 at USC. 15-5 here with the worst QB in the SEC. 21-7 in his last 28 games isn't a failure.

Very true. I wish we had went after Orgeron and ignored Fisher

Rich people who blow money frivolously don't stay rich forever.

A&M can try to spend their way into getting on the same level as LSU, but in 4 years when they've spent $30 million on the head coach alone and still hadn't beat LSU, that fanbase is going to demand results from a new savior.

IMO, this hire brings ATM closer to becoming Tennessee than becoming LSU.

Coach O wouldn’t be qualified to coach dc at Arkansas.

Orgeron was the S&C coach at Arkansas in '86-'87 and actually used that a stepping stone to his first DL coaching job at Miami where he earned 2 National Championship rings.

They collected half of the Jimbo buyout upfront bubba.

Some people have it and some don't. But you won't catch me worrying about what others do with their money (or lack of).

That's why A7M never worries me. It's just something about their program and they just don't have "it".

Any aggie that says they aren't even a little afraid of what a Jimbo failure will do is lying.

If y'all pay him that much and he can't surpass LSU, that is a massive failure. How long is aggie going to keep throwing money in a black hole?

Right. They're trying to spend their way into being a top SEC program, and they don't get it. LSU doesn't have to outbid A&M to win, they just have to outlast A&M.

And part of that is not spending crazy stupid amounts of money just because they can.

I mean right now Texas am is a better job than LSU since their big brother Texas is on a decade long struggle journey

But they still haven't beat their new big step-brothers in 7 tries.

Why not? You didn't like how "stealing" Chavis from LSU worked out?

WOW! Kuddos for already expecting the fall upfront. I need to come do some negotiating with the Aggies too. Maybe I can walk away with some free money too. They just giving it away!

He really isn't. Eaux is worth at best $1.5 million a year. LSU really overpaid for a shite product.

We hired a coach in November of 2016, meaning 2017 was the first season with our new coach

With a talented roster of a returning 8-4 team, the coach we hired went 9-3

With a talented roster of a returning 10-3 team, the coach the OP suggested we hire went 5-6

After seeing what A&M is giving Jimbo, I don't trust the opinion of aggy on what coaches are worth, and no one should.

Aggy spent $75mil on a 5-6 coach with a ton of talent. How fricking stupid the aggies are. Not to mention LSU still owns the aggies until proven otherwise. So sit down by daddy and shut up until you are told to do something else.

Beat your old $5mil/year coach twice. It's so funny when fans of teams that can't beat Ed O talk shite about how bad he is. It's going to be so funny when Jimbo never beats O
