2012 doesn’t count, refs gave the game of the century away to LSU.

Did the refs give it away in OT too?

There's a reason you're known as A*la*ba*ma*.

Ba*ma* in 2012.

We played four top-10 SEC games in a row. We went .500. Ba*ma*'s schedule had them play ONLY two top teams in a row. They too went .500.
So they benefitted from the easy schedule.

But watch this. We had to vacate our win vs Aggie in '12. That makes Aggie SECW Champs. So they play UGA for the SEC title and the winner is afforded a gimme putt vs ND for the Natty.

I'll let Aggie and UGA sort that out like Southern gentleman.

Sorry Ba*ma*. The asterisks just keep coming don't they?

No. We didn't luck into anything. We proved ON THE FIELD we were the best team in CFB.

Alabama is usually a fricking monster of a team that nobody wants to play. Of course they’re going to capitalize when they get the chance.

But once again, because they are named Alabama, they get the automatic nod. Entitled. Little. Brats.

One of these statements is not like the other.

You know that the National Championship trophies Bama lucked into and won are kept in a separate room from the real national championship trophies.

Bama getting in was like a punch right in the emotions of the corn doggers. I've never seen someone so upset for somebody else. I thought Booger was gonna cry.

This coming from a guy who made multiple threads about LSU women’s basketball after his team loses to a 2nd string QB because they waited too long to Turner Rodegarden.

You’re right. We did luck into the championship game that year. We got lucky as shite to be part of the craziest year in college football history.

My question remains, how many times has Alabama lucked out?

You get in a position to "luck out" a lot more when you are better than a program like LSU. It is called probabilities. Look into it.

Don’t know what all LSU fans need to hear this (it’s all of you) but you don’t act like a top tier university.

You act like you are a little brother, who’s also a step child and the biggest titty baby on earth.

Stop fricking whining all the gid damn time. You supposed to be LSU not LSBoohoo

The true answers to your question are either 0 or every time. College football is unique in that the best teams are selected at the end of the year to play for the title. Sometimes unbeaten teams aren’t selected. Sometimes 2 loss teams are. Every year Alabama has been selected, the majority of sportswriters and coaches and committees member who made the decision thought they were one of the deserving teams. So, every time they were selected it was lucky, but it was no more lucky than any other team that was ever selected. No team ever truly “deserves it” without question.

So ultimately, unless you’re of the trophy for everyone generation, isn’t the purpose to find out which team is best?

Luck or not, in 2011, the system said LSU and Bama were the two best teams. Y’all just wanted an easy win, thus the Okie St got cheated clamor. Bama proved they were better than LSU. 27-9 combined scores.

And if Bama wins it all this year, they’ll be the best. Yet, LSU fans will say “asterisk” or Bama backed in.

Bama will have gone undefeated in the toughest conference in America, beat a 29 & 0 UGA, AND beaten the best the rest of the country could offer.

All luck…

Please stop this nonsense. They also got hosed by a 2x4 in 1966. They were 2023 Florida State on steroids. Should have gotten a split in 1975 and 1977,too.

Stop. If the powers to be want to make this just a troll board say it. If not, monitor this forum every now and then, please.

who else besides Alabama gets treated the way they do?

“Their overall official record under Saban is 201–28[a] (.878) (206–28 on the field), 22 bowl game appearances with 16 victories, ten SEC West titles, nine SEC championships, and six national championships. Since 2008, Saban's teams have spent part or all of each season ranked at least top 4 in national polls.

Under Saban’s watch, the Crimson Tide have now faced a team ranked No. 1 in the nation on 10 separate occasions. The result, an 8-2 record for Alabama, marks one of the most dominant and underrated accomplishments of the head coach’s career.”
wikipedia

You can add in, Alabama rarely loses to unranked teams (they beat the teams they are supposed to beat) and any number of other accomplishments under Saban and you can see why Alabama gets “lucky” so often.
