Proposed upgrades are sure to include wider concourses, less bench seating, more concession options, larger video boards, a new sound system and improved lighting throughout. Capacity is expected to be reduced by thousands.

LSU could get rid of about 15000 seats and make it more fan friendly
Outside of bama and Florida, a true sellout is hard to come by

Heard him say about 5-8k. Really not that many in the grand scheme of things.

If only the powers to be at UT would do this and it make it a much more enjoyable experience for the fans. Capacity at Neyland should be around 90k instead of 102k.

Yep.

The race to 100k is over.

We’ve all done it and now it is time to make these corporate Sally’s happy.

Na, we don’t want the personality and charm replaced by NFL type generic commercial fluff. They’ve already removed enough seats, just get the south renovations done and it will be perfect.

CFB is following the NFL model. TV & higher priced amenities prioritizing corporate over fans.

No one wants to come to a game and watch you get beat 40-13.

OU (who has one of the best AD's in the country, if not the best) saw this early and last minute scaled back seating with their stadium upgrade a few years ago.

Sometimes less is more.

Reducing sears will be a trend. People are not showing up like they used to so that dick measuring contest can end. Time to focus on the fan experience

Seems pretty cool honestly. We took my son on a recruiting visit and their Ops building, they call it something else, is VERY nice. Going back for their first home game.

Everybody got on this bandwagon to go bigger and more corporate. I see the idiots in the boxes at Bryant Denny and they aren’t even watching the game.
Stadiums are fine at about 80k with less party rooms. Kudos to Florida.

We went to 5 SEC schools and we immediately go to each stadium. Drive by the Swamp and it is open. We go inside and there are a ton of students running the bleachers, some students were reading, and there were even 3 girls on field tumbling…not on the playing surface though.

Georgia has a little place you can walk in on the south endzone and get a view…the other three were just locked up.

Thought it was cool they let anyone in the Swamp.
