No he is talking SEC Championships not including tournament champions. We currently have 235 SEC team championships.

Yea - people are dumb. Either way, let's just use AP National Titles and call it a day.

Alabama - 11 Florida - 3 LSU - 2 Tennessee - 2 Auburn - 2 Georgia - 1 Texas A&M - 1

So Nick Saban doesn't have 6 National Titles?

Yes he does. But Saban only has 5 AP titles; Coach Bryant only has 5 AP titles too.

Saban & Bryant are tied with the most AP titles.

Arkansas doesn't have one in football. That 1964 championship is a joke.

True. I started a thread about underrated players knowing Connor Shaw would be brought up over and over.

Everyone of our titles sans 1941 was a Rose Bowl, undefeated/untied season in the pre-poll era or an AP/Coaches Poll title.

1941 is a joke. All of the others are 100% defensible.

For obvious reasons, I absolutely hate bama (uat, bammers, gumps, etc...).

That being said, the quote above is the absolute truth and reality. Taking out 1941 (which they should just replace with 1945 or 1966 if they insist on not lowering the number of NCs), all of the others are legit.

I hear 1973 being used a lot because they lost to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, yet bama claims the UPI (coaches poll) title (which was awarded BEFORE the Sugar Bowl).

Please name ONE school that does not claim an AP or coaches poll title.

As far as the pre-poll titles, the resumes on those teams is as good as any others.

Again, I hate all things uat, but I love college football and pride myself in being objective about it as much as any fan can be.

And for the record, Auburn should 100% claim 1983. They were jobbed.
