I think everyone should do this at schools. It's not like people will give up their season tickets. And if they do, others who actually want them will go. It's ridiculous that willing people who want to go either have to cough up so much money or else just not go.
I agree with this.

I don't go to many games when I don't live nearby. Usually try to make the big ones though. I love the crowd and the noise of the stadium, and the games remind me of my dad. That said, if I am going to tailgate, I'm going to the game. Otherwise, I'm happy on my couch.
I love tailgating.

I still like to go to a few games a year, but like I said earlier, CBS games are almost miserable to watch in the stadium IMO.

I'm not sure how many games I have been to, but it's been a few years since I've run up to Tuscaloosa. I went to plenty of games when I was younger. My Mom was a professor, my friends played on the team, and I could always get a hold of a pair of tickets.
I lost my interest in being around drunk folks or drinking and partying all day at the tailgate around 26 or 27. I might take my girlfriend (she's coming down from Michigan to Bame for Thanksgiving) to the Iron Bowl. Auburn folks are dumping their tix like a GF with a fresh batch of herpes.
Honestly, these days, I will run the nephews up there for a daytime game or for fan day, but I'm just fine laying on the couch, gorging myself on chili and hotwings, and screaming at the TV.

As Coasite pointed out, TV has made the game more accessible from our couches and a worse experience live.
I can't stand sitting in the stands and just watching players walk around on the field. At least at home I don't get a true feel for how many stoppages there are in a game.

Lame flame thread, but I've been to over 40 games in BDS.

About 20 times.
Eta: fun fact if you search sunnydaze in google images, you get a page full of this
Do you ride your little pony to all the games.

Yep. The honest truth is I have more fun watching a game on my recliner or at a house party with booze than at the stadium where my legs can barely fit in the seat and Bubba behind me is screaming "throw the damn ball" or "watch the fake." Unless it is a huge game like LSU, the stadium experience is just not that fun after you have been to 40 or 50 of them.
I agree as well. Plus trying to get home on I59 is hell during a night game. Getting on 59 from Mcfarland is crazy. Yet I still catch 3 games a year mostly.

I think someone would make a fortune helicoptering rich people back and forth from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa on gameday to avoid the hell that is I-59.

From my years in and around the state of Alabama I always assumed 90% of Bama fans never set foot on campus (let alone the stadium) and 80% don't even have college degree.
That is what happens when you are one of the top programs in college football.

Games are expensive for people who live in a house with wheels.

I've been to a few. What does it matter?

I have been to plenty.........Now since you really have nothing else to talk about but your ticket buying abilities. I have 6 tickets together in tiger stadium next week in section 641 that I am offering you to buy. If those wont work for you I have 6 together in section 402. So I think the question here is do you not have anything else to run your mouth about? Or do you want to buy tickets to the beatdown next week. Me personally. HD TV is highly under rated. So I will wait to hear from you about these tickets. I'm dead serious.

I have been to about 20-30 but I think I am starting to enjoy sitting on the couch to watch. That way at least I get to see more football throughout the day.
