relevant times.... no times... hmmmmm but congrats on beating us! I understand why that would be some teams greatest accomplishment if they have never won a championship. Others just have bigger goals.

Whatever it takes, man...Butch only processes 3* players. Williams is a 5*.

It's not fair to predict raw numbers. They took (roughly) 45 commits last year. Losing two is nothing.

So you said we haven't been relevant in 15+ years yet we have multiple 10+ win seasons and multiple SECCG appearances in that time frame.

What I think you ment to say is we haven't been relevant since we won it all 98. And if that's the case, Missouri never has and never will be relevant.

We've been in the gutter since 2008 and one of the best programs in college football for the 100 years before that. You've been slightly relevant for the last what, 8 years? And on the same level as Kentucky for the 100 years prior to that.

Our programs aren't comparable. UT has a better, much larger fan base, better facilities, attracts better athletes, is more highly regarded by coaches and the media, multiple more national championships,I could go on and on.

Missouri could put up 10+ games a year for another decade with that embarrassing arse schedule and still not garner any respect. You're not respected or accepted in the SEC. You're not respected around the country. Literally nobody gives a frick about Missouri football outside of the small fan base that resides in Missouri. You constantly finish 3-4th in the recruitment of players that sign with Tennessee. Which is quite honestly why you created this thread. Like a shunned red headed step child; the jealousy permeates all over your posts.

Conveniently for you, you joined the conference at the most down period of Tennessee football over the last 100 years. We're coming back and that makes people's arse hole pucker up. See the patheticness of this thread.

Also, just curious, what was Pinkel's record in his first two seasons at Missouri?

Have a decent season in the last decade and talk? Y'all act like shite that happened 15+ years ago is relevant.

You mention the last 15 years, and I will grant you that Tennessee is down during that period of time. Heck, they have 5 less wins than Missouri during that period. That will be rectified by the end of next season.

FBS team wins since 2000

Truth is, Mizzou is top 10 in wins as a program the last decade. I'm not sure Tennessee would crack the top 70.

Tennessee is tied for 54th in wins from '04-'14 (including the worst period in Tennessee history). Missouri is tied for 14th. Print the shirts.

Try not to get 50 hung on you the next time you have something to play for.

Edit: new to the board. This is in reference to the OP.

Kinda hard to sign top recruits when you're looking for a new coach in December.

You obviously don't know anything about our history but that's fine, to most outsiders the ONLY teams in the 8 where the Nubs and Oki's.

Just a warning, remember how last years Mizzou D-line "looked like a bunch of cheetahs out there and blew you up all night"?

prepare thy anus..

It was a comment I made last year during the UT/Missouri game.

Unfortunately for them we won't be playing walk ons at OL again for the for see able future. This paragraph from the thread on the top returning trios for sacks and TFL are telling.

quote:

Another thing I thought was interesting was Mizzou. People have been railing on how they "reload" every year", but their returning numbers are paltry. I compared them to their 2013 returning stats and there was a tremendous difference. Coming into 2014 their top trio of Ray, Golden, and Vincent had 13.5 sacks and 27 TFL. Going back to 2012, Sam, Ealy, and Hoch had 10 sacks and 21.5 TFL. Clearly those guys didn't come out of nowhere in 2013 and 2014 and I wouldn't expect guys that had a below-basic numbers impact in 2014 (Brother, Dennis, Harris, Hatley, and Augusta) to suddenly become all-SEC defensive players. I think they are going to take a tremendous step backwards on defense in 2015.

Augusta is good, but nothing short of a miracle and there will be a very noticeable drop off in production on the Missouri DL this season. Their 3 best returning players have 4 sacks and 12.5 TFL combined( Worst in the league). Compared to Barnett, Maggitt, and JRM who have 23 sacks and 46.5 TFL combined between them (1st in the league). It should be fun to see whose become the cheetah and who the prey in Butchs 3rd year.
